So it looks like Bayonetta 2 is going to be a Wii U exclusive.
I just don't understand.
What? That Nintendo is looking to show it can throw elbows with the big boys in the grand Toxic Waltz? Along with the controller that is a screen, they're also coming with a pro controller that's similar to a 360's, I hope you guys aren't writing off Nintendo, because the Wii-U looks solid as fuck and Nintendo usually pulls out some pretty amazing games with their first party titles.
A key point is missed here; hardware specs. If the rumours are true, the WiiU may fall somewhere between Xbox and PS3. If Sony and Msoft continue the arms race, which if yes is rumoured to be in two years or so, the WiiU will be way behind, and thus Nintendo again behind with 3rd party.
As great as some of the 1st party stuff is, and past systems, Nintendo has squandered 3rd party games for years now. Look no further than squareenix and their censorship practices over the years. Also, look at the crap with Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story. Fans needed to create a campaign to get a NA release.
Nintendo also likes making profit on hardware sales, which they will continue to do with the WiiU. Msoft and Sony sold their consoles at a lose for years. Their next consoles may not be at such a severe loss, but if they do traditional consoles so to speak again, they will be increased in power again.
I do hope this works for Nintendo. The specs seem to miss the mark though, and I'm tired of rehashed 1st party crap and ignoring most of the 3rd party developers, i.e. hardcore game market. And I am not even a hardcore gamer!
