A lucky Dream Theater fan
« on: August 06, 2012, 06:44:28 PM »
So this is my story. Last year I won the Ticket for Life, and I felt the luckiest man in the world. I thought it couldn't be better, but a month ago, I saw this posted on the Stage Right Ryche Facebook page (the one for Gianluca and John Zocco, keys and bass techs):

Quote
ATTENTION ATTENTION FELLOW FOLLOWERS OF THE RYCHE!! CONTEST!!

There has been a slight shift in momentum for Drumlandia over the last week and we need to regain the #1 position as the leader in "likes" for CrewNation. We are at a modest 823 likes while they have over 1300!!! Time to change!!

Share this status on your FB pages, twitter, and all various social media sites. Also, if you are on the DT forum, start a thread with the link to the page.

Contest: Create a video of about 20secs long that shows your loyalty and devotion to the Ryche. Make it funny and be creative! The funniest and most creative will win a special prize. You will post this video on YouTube and title it " Stage Right Ryche Contest"

Rules: Only one winner will be selected from the Founding Fathers. Deadline will be on July 16th, 2012. NO CURSES OR NUDITY!

GOOD LUCK!!!!

I wasn't very interested at first, but a few days later Gianluca posted this:

Quote
Winner of the contest gets a backstage pass to a show of your choice and a personalized video via Youtube of Jordan Congratulating you on your victory! Make is funny and be creative!!...Good Luck!

I made the video and I won. So now, I hace the Ticket for Life and a backstage pass (not VIP, friggin backstage  ). I've ordered two tickets for the Luna Park shows, one for each night, even knowing that I can't go, because I live in Spain.

The thing is, do you guys think karma will eventually kill me or something?

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Why in the world would you buy tickets for the Buenos Aires show if you can't go?

The thing is, do you guys think karma will eventually kill me or something?

I don't think that's how karma works but probably yes

I haven't bought them,  I've only ordered? them. With the ticket for life I can access any show for free. You never know what's gonna happen. I could end up in Argentina, so...

I just talked to a friend of mine in Argentina. He said he was super psyched to get tickets to the two shows, but that the last 2 were "taken" at the last minute. He was very very very violently angry.

His name is Karma.

I would, really, but I can't. Even though I own a big hispanic community it's not in my hand to do that. To get the tickets I have to go personally to the venue the day of the show, and present my identification. So it's very imposiblle  :-\

How exactly does that ticket for life work any way?  Can you order any ticket you want and it's free?

Let me get this straight, you live in Spain, you got the tickets for the Argentina shows early in August cause "you never know what's gonna happen" but you do know these shows are 2 or 3 weeks away. Is that what you're saying? Cause it's very weird :lol
btw does Luna Park have seating GA or standing?

Aha, so two seats reserved, all seating venue, I hope they're not good seats that are now unavailable to others.
Nekov do you expect the shows to sell out?

Yeah. Travelling's on your own, though.

That's pretty cool.  I had originally figured that they'd give you one show within a given tour.  Someone living in the NY/NJ area would make out like a bandit with this as they always do multiple shows in the area.
