That was amazing. Some bits were random and stupid, but some parts were random and stupid and AWESOME.

And that remix over the credits is :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Everyone skip to the credits before you give up on this.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

If I've seen most of these DT videos he used, does that mean I'm obsessed or just a normal DTFer?

Some bits were random and stupid, but some parts were random and stupid and AWESOME.

Kind of how I felt about it. It's just... an abbreviation of DT stereotypes and it works sometimes. OTBOA made me lol.

You don't find Jimmy Carr funny. What do you know about humor? Amazing video.

He's a foul mouthed slimy disgusting horrible person. All he does is tell filthy jokes to make idiots laugh.

He has absolutely no wit whatsoever.

I heard one of his so-called "jokes" the other day and after I had facepalmed with both hands I realised I wanted him killed.

"What do you get if you cross the Queen and Prince Phillip?
"Killed in a tunnel."

Oh, Jimmy.

Most of his jokes are wordplay - the joke there is actually the double meaning of "cross," he builds an expectation and subverts it - but he teases. He plays with taboos, and goes for the shocker, but his tongue's constantly firmly in his cheek - I'd highly refute that he's malicious. Man waits after all his shows to speak to every single member of the audience who wants to have a chat with him. Logic being - they pay him to just stand around on a stage for an hour and a half, least he can do is thank them.

He's lovely. Being offensive is not what he's about at all - he talks about this on stage. A lot. He plays with taboos because jokes are about surprises, and saying something terrible with enough self-awareness adds that little bit of shock, but the jokes would become uncomfortable if anyone thought he meant any of it. He's more of a joke architect. And half his jokes are pretty clean anyway. Sometimes very clean. "What happens if you spill carpet cleaner?"

It won't be to everyone's taste, I accept. Literally no objection. Hate his material as much as you want. But degree from Cambridge, makes time for the fans, performs for charity... the tax stuff wasn't ace, but he remedied that despite being under no obligation whatsoever to. Which is no reason to rush out and buy his DVDs - some people like that and some people don't - but celebrating his death seems a lot uglier and significantly more sincerely mean-spirited than anything he's ever said on any stage ever.

I just think his delivery and mannerisms and actual material - clean or otherwise are just really really poor.

I don't think he's a natural comic. You see him on panel shows and he looks desperate to say something funny. Or he'll just repeat something funny someone else just said.

Anyway - this joke I heard was just the worst thing i've ever heard. Not only was it absolutely not funny but it was also pure filth.

That's fair! He does have a line in filth. I wish he'd stop doing the cartoons in the live shows.

I believe he's the only regular QI guest who insists on seeing the questions beforehand? One of them does, and Stephen Fry's on record as saying he wishes they wouldn't, because they really don't need it, and it's that's rumoured to probably be Jimmy Carr. Makes sense what with him being a jokesmith, but there we go.

But yeah - not for everyone, totally granted! I just think wishing he'd die is a bit strong. q:

Also, right on all counts. Jimmy Carr is hilarious (my opinion). With that being said, he obviously isn't for everybody (Kotowboy included), and that's quite alright.

Especially when actual comedy genius like Stewart Lee exists.
