Wow, a near 30 minute long song on a debut. These guys are pretty ambitious if nothing else.
The bones of beasts and the bones of kings become dust in the wake of the hymn.
Mighty kingdoms rise, but they all will fall, no more than a breath on the wind.

Wow, this is great! 4 songs in and this will easily be in to Top 5 of the year.

The DT and classic Rush influence is so obvious.

thank you very much Phoenix87x. My favorite part on the album is the vocal melody in that song "but when my dreams cross with reality, i'm free oohhhh ohhh ...etc ".

The more I listen to the last track "The Dream", it reminds me a lot of "A Change Of Seasons' in the way its all put together. 3 songs into this epic masterpiece, so melodic. The solo at the end,  I would compare it to "The Razors Edge"

johnny, where did you hear of them? Are you connected to them in any way?

They are all friends of mine for about 4 years now.

I have a funny story in how I first met them. Back in 2007 downtown Toronto at the HMV Dream Theater in store autograph session, the guitar player Sam I first met. At the time I didn't know he played guitar or was in a band. He was 16 at the time. He liked my Amazing Journey t shirt I had on, lol.

2 years later at the Molson Amplitheater after the Dream Theater, they were handing out business cards for the band and they said hey we've seen you before, lol. The next day, I went on to their myspace and checked out their music which is that 4 song demo you see on itunes. I was definitely impressed. A few weeks later they had a gig at the Opera House in Toronto as part of the openers for EDGUY.

When I saw them on stage and watched Sam playing, my jaw dropped. He's my favorite guitar player everr, yeah he's my friend but I feel that way. They have had other opening gigs in Toronto and a few in Montreal for Symphony X, Sonata Artica, Fair To Midland. They were slated to be the opener in Toronto and Montreal for James LaBrie Static Impulse tour that didn't happen of course.

They currently are not on any major label. Everything they are doing is on their own. As they can gain more experience they'll even get better as writers and musicians since they are in their early 20's.

Good stuff, man.

Wanted to add that RUSH is the biggest influence in the band. Never met more diehard RUSH fans than these guys.

They have covered "Xanadu", "Entre Nous" (videos are on youtube), "La Villa Strangiato",  "2112".

For a debut it's a solid album.  I need a few more listens to fully digest it.
