UPDATE:
Hip Hip Hooray! My son's choir won a Silver Medal in the mixed youth choirs competition yesterday! They lost the gold to the Number One Youth Choir of China. Not too shabby for a public school! This automatically qualifies them to compete in the games in Riga, Latvia in 2014!
Congratulations!! Yay!
After his block of choirs had finished performing I walked down to try and find him. I saw several girls from his choir and asked where he was? They told me they thought he was dancing in the VIP/Participant Village. This village is like an Olympic village commons area. There are snack areas, refreshments, video games, computers set up, video phones, a lounge area, a couple of karaoke stations, a whole bunch of IT companies have all of their latest gadgets they all can use, etc. There is even a DJ and dance floor area. I wasn't allowed in the area, but I was allowed to stand in the entryway while the girls went to fetch him, and I could see my son about 50 yards away on the dance floor. He was the only guy on the dance floor and he was surounded by the 16 member all girls choir from Australia. Good grief. When his friends got him, the Aussie girls followed him over to me. He gets over and says, "Hey dad! Tell them I don't look like Leonardo Di Caprio!" WHAT!?!?! Umm...no thanks! They're all swooning over him. "Don't go anywhere", one of them said. "You promised us all a dance when you guys finished your set." "I want my own private dance." another chimed in.

and finally:
God help me!
Later he says...''Dad, think we can go to Australia sometime before school starts back? I'd really like to see it; it sounds really cool."
"Yeah..Sure. I'll get right on that..........Leo."
