Torres and Ballotelli.. what an advert for the english premier league! Spain suffering from the same issues as Barclenola faced against Chelsea if you ask me.

Yeah I don't think many teams are afraid of Spain at all. Very centred attacking, and not playing Llorente or Torres to play Fabregas as a striker instead is probably the most stupid decision ever.

These so called elite teams (Spain, Holland/Netherland-sgermany) are ripe for the pickens. i think unless Germany comes to the plate, you could see a team like Russia winning this. Fuck, Greece won this shit a few years ago. Unfortunatley, the way they were seeded, the group of death will almost lose 1 of the best teams in it. I still say France is the team to watch. and BTW, I was at teh Argentina/ Brazil game yesterday. and i openly say. Messi is the greatest playerwe have seen.

Really excited about the games today, going to watch both of them.
France - England should be a good game, but I'm mostly excited about Sweden playing tonight. :)

He does it for our country regularly too, the difference is that the rest of the team doesn't so most of the time it goes unnoticed. This time he had a little help from the rest of the team in the first two goals. I really can't remember when it was the last time in our national team that Messi received the ball from one of his team mates and he was just facing the goal keeper.

I was pleasantly surprised that England manage to scrape a draw, last England v France match I remember we were winning one nil until France got two astounding goals in extra time.

I do believe that Sweden can beat England, but at this point I don't think it will matter. It's such a shame that we only really have one quality player in Sweden, and I think it's very noticeable in some games.

I want England to win against Ukraine and Sweden now. Sorry, Zantera, but I can't beat my origin. From that group I'd like England and Sweden to go on, but Ukraine is fine as well, as they organised the cup. Anything is good as long France doesn't go.

Also, go Netherlands tomorrow. Beat those Germans. Please.

Yes, big game now. Excited. Think Germany will win it, maybe a draw, but I don't see Oranje winning it.

Edit: 0-2 so far.

I've liked this Euro a lot so far. It has a high level of play, while keeping the games exciting and open. Huge difference with the snoozefest the World Cup was!

It's even possible that each of the 16 teams will have some chances to qualify to quarterfinals on the last round.

I have a question. What is the greatest (most bitter, most intense, mos likely to produce blood in a game) rivalry in European football? I would imagine it could be Germany - England, France - England or even England - Scotland, however, I've heard some people say that Germany and The Netherlands really hate each other.

Really depends on who you ask. Ask the Germans they'll say Netherlands, ask the Dutch they'll say Germans. Ask the English they'll say just about anyone, but barely anyone will say England.

The Scots hat the English, man. They´d loooove to beat ´em just once.

Hate is much too strong of a word but there in definitely a strong rivalry there. Germany is the one team that we always want to beat.

Oh man, if Spain could drop points tonight I would be so happy.
I think there is a tiny chance that Spain could go out in the group, Croatia won their first game, and Italy looked good last game. A draw or an Italy win in their game tonight, Spain dropping points and that should make it interesting in the last round.
I really hope Italy and Croatia goes through.

Don't totally agree - with England's 'stature' as a nation and the number of foreign players in the english premier league, I'd imagine alot of nations would relish the opportunity to beat us. Tis true though Germany Holland is about as big an international rivalry as there is.
