In the semi-finals, Spain will beat Portugal and Germany will loose against Italy, I fear.

I think Italy will chew Spain up.

Spain vs. Italy was one of the best games of round 1, full of action and emotion, mainly because Italy tried to control the game and attack instead of playing conservatively. They managed to surprise Spain. I don't agree with people saying it will be a boring match. Italy is playing well and is super-motivated. Spain isn't as strong as before and will have to be more agressive in order to win. I say it'll be a great final.
This so hard.

Well, my interest in the finals just completely evaporated.

Couldn't agree more.

I think Spain will end up winning easily against Italy, but I probably won't be even watch the final. No interest at all to do so.
Well since the first match between Spain and Italy was probably the best in the whole tournament I can't really understand why you're saying this.

Without a major game change, this is essentially over.

That's pretty apt, I think. 4:0 in a EC final? If someone would have told me beforehand, I'd have declared them insane.

Kinda strange that the game with the clearest outcome is the finals.

2 goals in it was sad, then it became hilarious.
Freakin Italian 50 cent jinxed them since he took his t-shirt off last game.

There was nothing we could do, sadly. The game lasted only about 1/2 hour. Then we totally ran out of fuel. And when you are standing against the strongest team in the world (and probably among the strongest ever) with no physical energy, the match is guaranteed to become a slaughter.

So. See you next time Spain. Our time will come.

Shame about Motta, but Spain was the deserving winner in the match.

Taking Montolivo out was the stupidest move in the whole tournament, especially since he was replaced by Motta, who had an injury not long ago.

That said, I really enjoyed the first hour, but after that it went downhill. Spain were the deserved winners though, they definitely proved that in the first half, with some birlliant football to boot.

Yup, both me and my father though that Diamanti would have been a better choice, albeit not a choice that could have turned the tide of the match.

Spain won fairly, they outplayed Italy.

I never understood why Montolivo played, he did nothing througout the whole tournament. I also don't understand why the Italian coach did not call Quagliarella or Matri but he did call Ballotelli and even made him play as a starter.

You were so right!

And I was dead wrong :lol

Only good thing about this is that Casillas is happy and I can't imagine the feeling of success and amazing career he has, good guy and deserves it.
