Drinking a Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA right now. Not spectacular but far from bad. Smooth to the point of the carbonation barely being there and has a dry, nearly-oaky flavor to it. Not much pine or citrus for an IPA but I still dig it.

Same here, except it's odd that most of the time it hasn't been enough to get me even slightly buzzed, it's just been a little bit at a time for a long period of time. I recently became our temporary go-to wine guy since our sommelier just quit without any notice at all, so I've been doing a shitload of tastings and hosting a bunch of wine classes; so I suppose I haven't really been 'drinking' as much as I've been 'sipping' a shitload. I mean, some days I will actually get a pretty good buzz going but I've gotta mentally stay as sober as possible since, y'know...I'm working

. But it's been nice, I get really good wine for cheap and get to spread the love without becoming an alcoholic!

But last night I got to pick out a 2007 Beringer Cabernet so I'm definitely going to be doing some drinking tonight. Yum yum.

Ha! Precisely what I've just been up to!

A mate had his birthday party on Saturday. Everyone brought beer, chucked it in a tub to chil, we drank throughout the night it was a good laugh. Today, I've received some unexpected good news, so I went down to that mate's house and we decided to make as big a dent in that pile of left-over booze as we possibly could.

Turns out, we made a pretty big dent. I'm barely fucking sentient. God help you all.

I typoed "chill," and it was a shit choice of word anyway, but aside from that I'm not going to be as churlish as to disagree with you. I am doing some pretty good typing. On the other hand, the only reason I can type so well is because what with all my time at university I've had far more practice than I should really be at all proud of. Cos frankly, I'm wrecked, and anyone with a sensible attitude to alcohol should be typing like a fucking spanner by now. It probably reflects badly on me that I'm not.

Genuinely, though, my friend did suggest keeping up the momentum tomorrow. Don't know if I'll take him up on it - current plans for tomorrow are to work all day. But, er, don't be surprised if I turn up here again.

Honestly, though, I think I'd be an idiot to.

EDIT: I also missed a comma. I'm a bloody state.

that's some awesome typing work there, though, I never get how people can completely mess up whole sentence. Even when I'm wrecked beyond my own belief, I still manage to type out legible stuff.

On a side note, I love how your whole evening plan can be fucked over due to the availability of beer. I must say, it has been a good evening here.

One thing I loved was Skyy Blue... sucks they don't make it anymore. It was good. It would probably get me gut rot now if I drank it.

I just stick with Rum and Coke or Cherry Vodka and coke... Blue Raspberry Vodka and Ginger Ale is REALLY good... I like sweeter stuff.

Polisthed off the last of the run on this coke I'm drhnking right now. Don't susually drink during the school year (especially on a weeknight) but doing it tonight, esepcially since my wife is out with buddies tonight.
