Day 15 of sobriety. No I haven't found God or spiraled into such despair that I've had a moment of clarity. I was sick and after one day of some shit called Chlortab followed by enough days on NyQuil to down 1 1/4 liters of it (seriously, 3 12 oz. bottles plus a little of a fourth one) followed now by being on my third day of Mucinex, I've beaten the cold's symptoms and now am desperately hoping the Mucinex will bilge the fluid from my lungs and save my ass an uninsured $100+ trip to the doctors on top of the more than $35 dollars I've already spent on OTC shit.

Meanwhile 15 or so bottles of beer spanning four different brands lay dormant in my fridge

Well shit, some people drink Nyquil just for the fun of it. Good job on staying sober though, lest you want to prolong the sickness; as you clearly already know. It sucks being sick and having a fridge full of alcohol. I was sick as a dog (because every canine is fucking ill) right before Christmas and the day of, still puking my guts out, I got a big fat bottle of 18 year old scotch. God was that tempting. But it's a good choice. Stay strong, broder and get well soon.

I haven't been really really drunk in years. I've been a little drunk... but I don't go crazy drunk anymore... can't afford to buy alcohol... usually when I go to my brother in law's I have a couple of glasses of wine or something.... but yeah.

I could use a drink though after the day I had yestereday,

Drunk as shit off some jagger bombs and jack daniels shots. My friend just got home from his deployement and he's schooling me in the ways of military drinking.

We watched a clockwork orange for the first time and now we're just watching some Avatar: The Last Airbender and dicking around on the internet. Good times, seeing as I haven't seen him in a year and a half and he was my best friend back in high school. Oh alcohol, how you bring friends back together

goddamn, last night I read that as "do you like alcohol?" and I got really pissed.

Glad I didn't post anything. Ugh, I've just got some personal demons I'm not taking care of the right way.

Some girl was having a bachelorette(sp) party and I got the girls to buy me a shit load of drinks. No, I didn't do anything wrong with them. But I ended up drinking and smoking (cigarettes) all fucking night and just made a few other questionable decisions which make me feel like a fuckwad.

It's from Renegade here in town, and they don't bottle or anything (I have a growler of it... well now maybe half a growler

). I remember seeing one or two similar brews at GABF but I forget who made them. A look around the internets might find you something available down south.

I've tried many a beer. I'm not talking just the big named beers, I'm talking local brewed stuff from Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Oh, even some stuff from Canada. I've had stuff that was okay, but nothing that really stuck. You also have to keep in mind that I was drinking for that first post, so any emotions expressed were exaggerated. I also never really get drunk off beer.
