Sweden gave it's 12 points to Cyprus. That song was horrific.

Cyprus was okay, very catchy but not the best.

We were all rooting for Russia. Ballsy move, totally appreciated it.
I didn't, that whole thing was ridiculous. It did not deserve 2nd place.

Agreed. Just because they are old and sweet doesn't mean they are good. Actually their performance is so far being "good" and this is the eurovision so they deserved to be second place. I think they are total joke.

I just loved Germany. Their song is out of eurovision criteria. It sounded well, singer is quite OK and talented.

The other internet favourite is cyprus, for me, totally terrible. Two amazing lady leg doesn't make it good. I watched two leg running on the stage, nothing more.

I don't recall the country but I liked the slow song with female soprano singer, hitting high notes with grace.

You liked the German song? I couldn't tell you a single thing about it, it left my mind the second it stopped. Generic, forgettable.

The great thing about Russia was the hilarity of it. I mean, they had a rotating oven on stage!!

I saw every song.

Montenegro was fucking funny, pity that it didn't made it to the finals. My second favourite was Slovenia, their song honestly took my breath away in some parts. And my third favourite was Israel, they had an interesting rock song.

On final were nine at least good songs and five that sucked and hard. I would have liked to see F.Y.R. Macedonia win, that woman had an impressing voice and that scream before the last chorus is probably the most pervert one I've ever heard not made by Agnete Maria Kjolsrud. The other good eight songs were from Iceland, Romania, Estonia, Russia (lovely grandmas), Serbia, Turkey (that fucking boat  :rollin), Italy ( :heart :heart), Albania (wow!) and Moldova.

And there were songs, which notes should be demolited as soon as possible. Cyprus (la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la  >:(). Norway (holds ears), Denmark (EXTREMELY generic), France and Hungary.

And I would have also liked to see the Netherlands in finals  :'(. There was something very cute in that woman and song.

Sweden's song was alright, one of the best dance pop songs, but the verses were quite dull (I don't remember anything from them) and it had that repetition (up-up-up-up-u-u-up) I hate. Romania was the only good, which had Swedish composers. Hmm... Seems like the only good Swedish composers were in ABBA or are in Meshuggah.

Finland's song was OK. Lyrics were very beautiful. Among the all mediocriness, it would had deserved the final place.

My knowledge of swedish ends in hund and katt so I can't vouch for that, but the melody was nice.

Just watched the Israel one. Man....how embarrassing for me.

Which song are they blatantly ripping off with the verse melody? I can't figure it out but it should be obvious.

I also like how the keyboardist didn't even try to pretend that it wasn't all pre-recorded for the first bit.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's Dream Lover by Bobby Darin.

Oh, you didn't watch it from the TV. There were subtitles.

I would have understood words from there and there without them.

The song title is in English When I Close My Eyes.

Guess what?! England sent there a legend musician and the result is funny. I don't think Norway's song is crap. This is not just about the music, you know.

The UK doesn't get any friendly votes from neighbouring countries.

And even though Love Will Set You Free was a good song, it isn't something that youth of today likes to listen.

Are you suggesting that the youth of today watch and vote on eurovision?

It's was probably the cheesiest thing in the competition. It was as if he rambled quotes from really cliche teenage books.

I loved United Kingdom, Slovakia and Montenegro. None of these were too successful.  :lol

Also worth mentioning were F.Y.R. Macedonia, Italy, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland and Switzerland. And I thought Serbia had a fine song as well, I'm glad we ended up at third place.

Did you not have an on-screen translation?

Ireland usually gives the UK a few votes.

I can't think of a much worse Saturday evening than spending it sat in front of the bloody Eurovision song contest....

Each to their own though....

Would I watch it sober in front of a TV? Hell no. Would I watch it with friends, next to a grill with beer in my hand? Hell yeah!

Fair call, sir!  :lol

Maybe, but they didn't give now anything from 8-12 points.
