36. "Make 'em Say Uhh!" - 1998 - Master P feat. Silkk, Fiend, Mia-X, and Mystikal

I prefer Beck.  He has the decency to not threaten unsuspecting people with constipation.  Also, his music isn't flipping annoying.

I listen to this song to make me feel less white

Over played in its day, but totally agree.

To quote Sebastian Bach,"any song about space travel by a band named after a continent has to suck."
Not a fan of Sebastien Bach, but he's hit the nail on the head there. :lol

He always had the best quotes on those vh1 shows, his comment about Slayer,"this is the soundtrack of hell, when you go to hell, this is the music that will be playing." :lol

Bach is immensely funny and quotable.  He would be one cool dude to just hang out with - just like all us Canucks.  ;)

I know I'm a little behind in the thread but, "Shiny Happy People" is one of the worst songs I've ever heard, it should be higher on the list.

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" is a good song.  The album it's from is very good.  The follow up single "Halo" is great, but didn't connect with the mass pop audience....

26. "The End" - The Doors - 1967

I really like this song, as well as the Doors in general.  I can see how they can be unappealing to some people, but I'm not exactly seeing qualities that'd bring out this much distaste for them.

25. "I'll Be Missing You." - Puff Daddy feat. Faith Evans and 112

I don't care for it.  Really sweet, soft, R&B pap like that just isn't my thing.  Also, though I am not opposed to sampling (Good, creative, use of sampling can make for a very good song.  You know, if its done well, like any other technique, really), this is way too derivative of "Every Breath You Take", IMO.  Why not create something new and completely different sounding out of existing samples?  Just comes across as a bit lazy.

24. "Superman" - Five For Fighting - 2000

Going by the title, I thought it was a different Superman-themed song I sometimes hear on the alt-rock station.  I like that one.  Not this one, though.  This one is pretty bland, IMO.  Just a standard-sounding power ballad.

23. "Sunglasses at Night" - Corey Hart - 1984

Don't care for this one.  The cheez-ass synths aren't even all that goofy.  I do like his shades, though.

22. "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue [The Angry American]" - Toby Keith - 2002

No thank you.  I do not care for this style of music, nor do I agree with the ideas expressed in the lyrics.  Probably one of my least favorite songs on this list, so far.

Okay, The End is amazing. WTF

3 songs I like now. I'll Be Missing You is a disgrace. Sampling is one thing, but it's mostly the same song. Those things sicken me. Just like Kanye West did with a song by Can, one of my favourite bands.

The End is the 26th worst song of all time?

Riiiiiiiight.

This confirms what I stated in my previous post in this thread.

"How any list purporting to name the fifty worst songs of all time could include anything by the Beatles or Simon and Garfunkel and expect to be taken seriously beggars belief. Like someone has already said these kind of lists often contain a couple of controversial inclusions simply to get publicity. There are only two other possible explanations

1. They're taking the piss
2. They're just fucking ignorant gits.

No band in the world is beyond criticism. Naming a song by what is considered a great band doesn't make them ignorant. It means they're not influenced by some notion that great bands can't release a few stinkers.
That said, I don't think The End is anywhere near the 50 worst songs ever, and I don't even care much for the song myself.
But it's clear this isn't a list of the 50 worst songs ever written, or they'd pick a bunch of terrible bands you'd never heard of who couldn't write songs to save themselves. This is about well known songs they think are the worst. Maybe "most overrated/overplayed" would be a more apt name for the list, judging by their choices.

21. "Two Princes" - Spin Doctors - 1992

This one isn't too bad, but doesn't blow me.  Apparently, these guys are/were a jam band, and I dig those, but not this so much.  Where's the jamming?  That said, I was expecting much worse.

20. "Dancing on the Ceiling" - Lionel Ritchie - 1986

Okay, I'm pretty sure I've heard this whimpering in the background at the local Safeway.  Or not.  This isn't too memorable to me; I probably wouldn't be able to tell, anyhow.  I love many 80s tunes and acts, but this belongs in Full House.  I'd rather hear 40 minutes of Joey's stand up, because that'd at least be really amusing.

19. "Broken Wings" - Mr. Mister - 1985

Decent 80s ballad-ish thing.  Could do a real swell job backing the intro sequence to some explosion-packed action show.  Or family drama.  It just screams opening credits.

18. "You're the Inspiration" - Chicago - 1984

I really feel for the many trees that were harmed in the production of this song.  It reeks of sap.
