I tried both but they didn't fit the forum limit. Can you imagine that? The forum not being able to take two comments on such a small thing? Mods will need to do something.

That is odd, considering Nem has tons of stuff in her's, and I was able to fit two comments and a quote in mine.  Did you put them back to back as opposed to hitting return after pasting the first one.

Technically, her sig is WAY too big, but because of formatting the software thinks it's only 4 lines (image, line, quote, smily).

Tomorrow is today.

I heard that's the name of the new Katatonia album.

Knew this was going to be what it was just as I clicked it.  Man, Vito Bratta was such an under-rated guitarist.  Was just listening to Lady of the Valley yesterday.  And that brunette had a certain je ne sais quois about her.  Been a long time since I saw that video.  Bonus marks to Coz.  :tup

Ok, got some errands to do, but I'll aim to have them up within the next 90 minutes.  Mrs. Jingle is hittin the tub to soothe her back, so I might have some free time to myself.  Then again, I might not.  :eyebrows:

Appreciate the effort, but it's going to take a lot more to make me look :hat

Some of the writeups are getting short.

Ok.... heeeeeeerrrrrree we goooooooooooooooooo!

Lonestar: Beautiful Sin - Take Me Home
Love, LOVE, LOVE her voice!  Great guitar work, nice riffs and melodies.  These kind of up-beat fast paced tunes really tickle my fancy these days.  Everything just gels so nicely together.  *tlonk*... What's that? ... the sound of you knocking it out of the park.
Ranking: 1

King: Karmakanic - The World is Caving In
Solid, liked it just fine.  Downside, nothing stood out significantly for me.  Vocal solo's were done well, but on the whole, it landed in the middle of the road for me.
Ranking: 4

Nekov:  The Waterboys - The Return of Pan
Another good submission.  Nothing bad about this at all, but much like the Karmakanic track, nothing really wow'd me either.  Solo was really good... Good guitar work overall really.  If you thought my tastes sucked before, this is really going to cement it for you.
Ranking: 5

JJ: Rough Cutt - Dreaming Again
Very nice sold tune.  Quintessential glam look and sound from these guys.  Another nice Power Ballad, even though he's not replacing the ballad round.  Nice main riff.  Production felt a little flat... But in some ways that is typical for this era of music
Ranking: 3

Ytse: Theocracy - Laying the Demon to Rest
For as much that I loved about this, there were as many parts that I was 'meh' about.  Some of it turned the thrash metal dial up just way too much for my liking - for the most part, that's a genre that I just find to be over the top and unimaginative.  Other parts were really good - fantastic vocals (lead and backing); love the chorus'... Great final scream.  Overall, miles better than the Ozric song, but wasn't balanced enough to keep pace with everyone else this round
Ranking: 5

Zydar:  Hammerfal - Glory to the Brave
Really nice vocals on this.  Can totally pick out the power side of these guys, even in a ballad.  Gonna have to check out their heavier songs.
Ranking: 3

Coz: Talisman - I'll be Waiting
Love Jeff Scott Soto (again, another submission with a vocalist I know and really like ... Need more JSS in my library). The vocal melody to lead off reminded me a lot of Europe.  Only knock is how short this is.  Just when it gets it's groove on, it's over
Ranking: 2

Wolf: Last Tribe - Wash Away Your Sins
Really dig the guitar work.  Given my love for Allen/Lande, it's no surprise that this really hit my ears just where I like it.
Ranking: 1

Obscure: Place Vendome - My Guardian Angel
Funny enough, I just watched Kade play this on the guitar this morning too.  Now this is a Power Ballad!!!  Anything coming from the President of Frontier Records has got to be something right up my alley, and this certainly was.  Kiske has such a great voice.  Nice melody, touching lyrics, impressive guitar solo... All the right elements of a great power ballad.
Ranking: 2

Doc: Alcest - Autre Temps
Nice mellow tune - really liked the guitar work... Especially the intro.  French lyrics didn't help its cause, even though the vocals were nice.
Ranking: 4

Total     Playa
6   The Koala/wolf
7   The DJ/obscure
8   The Guitar Hero/coz
9   The Skipper/chef
10   The Quack/doc
12   The Tarantula/ytse
12   The Blue Bomber/jj
12   The Viking/Zydar
14   The Monarch/King
15   The Maradona/Nekov

Side competition, and next round launch will come at the end of the night.  It's an open round though.

P.S.  Hopefully I made Diego's 10 minute time limit.  Although, it's 13 minutes since he posted.  Maybe it's better that he left given he gets the :nickfail: for wasting the mulligan.  Doc stays even-steven, and if I'm looking accurately, everyone else improved.

Soto fucking rocks.  I have the first Talisman album and there's a ballad on it - Just Between Us - GREAT song, and the solo kinda reminds me a little of Whitesnake's "Is This Love".  Hell, now that I think of it, I should've submitted this for the ballad round.  :lol

Ok, side competition standings.  No change to the win/loss scores, and you just saw how you individually rank.

Team scores (as always, lower is better):

Team America - 77
Team ROW - 73

One-on-one matchups for the final round will be:
Nekov (2-2) v obscure (2-1-1)
Lonestar (2-2) v wolfking (3-1)
King (0-2-2) v Ytse (2-2)
Doc (1-3) v jj (2-2)
Coz (3-1) v Zydar (1-2-1)

Now, on to the real competition

Round 7 - Last Chance
As a reminder, here's what's at stake.  Top 6 make the playoffs.  Seeds 1 and 2 get a first round bye.  First playoff round is 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5.  Seeds 7-10 go to the penalty box and feel shame.  No one is mathematically eliminated - I couldn't have scripted this any better ... 3 people tied for the final playoff spot.  Nekov needs A LOT of help to qualify, King just a lot.  Wolf and Nem are guaranteed playoff spots, and Coz is virtually guaranteed.  He'd need a Red Sox like collapse and stellar performances from jj, Spidey and Zy to be eliminated.

So, with all that said, here's your chance ... either for positioning what seed you'll finish, or for that last push to make the playoffs.  It's an open round, so give me your best.  On second hand ... forget your best.  Take this guy's advice.
