In all seriousness, this thread should become a set welcome thread so all new users can introduce themselves to the community. Maybe put a parenthetical in the title like (Introduce Yourselves Here!) or something.

I'm not sure what consitutes a newb, but since I haven't been active on this forum for very long, here's a (re-)introduction:

I'm a happily married Swede who just can't seem to get enough of DT and other progressive bands. A few main influences:
DT, Spock's Beard/Neal Morse, Pain of Salvation, Opeth (yeah, no surprises so far, this is common ground), Ayreon, Porcupine Tree, Kino, Genesis (some of it), etc.

I'm a musician and a teacher, though at the moment I'm studying since jobs are hard to come by (and when they do come by, they're usually short term replacement positions).

I did hang around the old DT forum, but never enough :hat to get to know people.
