Hey folks!!  ;)

My name is Rocio and I'm from Chile, I'm new here and to be honest I'm also new when it comes to DT... I'm 23 years old and I've been a metalhead since I was 13, when bands like Queen, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and many others came to my life, I sold my soul to music since then. Nowadays I'm a big fan of almost every metal subgenre, being my fav bands After Forever, Symphony X, Epica, Ayreon, Megadeth, Lacuna Coil, Tool and Annihilator, among others... Anyway, during this years, I never cared to give DT a real chance till some time ago, when a lovely and big DT fangirl friend of mine kindly showed me her fav songs... I'm starting slowly, as DT music needs to marinate some time to release its full flavor, currently I'm totally blown away by Scenes From A Memory...

I'm a catlover, a vegetarian, a writer, a storyteller, a weirdo, a kind of modern eremit, a singer, a rookie guitar player and an awful drummer. I also write álbum reviews.

Rocio, I think I know you from a certain Facebook group, amirite? ;) The other Serbian girl, Milena. I tend not to post a lot in the group because it's major fun and therefore a major time eater :lol but when I do, it's DT-related.

Just wanted to say hello everyone.  I was on the  Mike Portnoy forum for 10 years.  The negativity toward DT became unbearable.  I'm happy to be a part of this community.

Hi guys!
I've read DTF for a long time, but now I've decided to become part of this fantastic big DT family! :)

About myself:
My name is Francesco, I'm 23 years old, I'm Italian and I go to university! :D
I play Guitar, but in the past I've also played Bass and Saxophone.

The nickname itself explains my musical taste; I like progressive rock bands, such as Genesis, Yes,  Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Gentle Giant,  King Crimson, Rush, Jethro Trull, Pink Floyd, Living Colour, Area, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Banco Mutuo Soccorso, Liquid Tension Experiment, Transatlantic, etc...

Regarding the progressive metal world I like, of course, Dream Theater, Planet X, Blotted Science, Arch Matheos, On the Virg (Virgil Donati's old band), Spastik Ink.

Oh, and without forgot Fusion bands, like Chick Corea Elektric Band, Weather Reaport, Casiopea, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Tribal Tech, Uzeb, Spyro Gyra, Return To Forever, Steps Ahead, and many others.

I hope I haven't bored you with this huge list of bands! :P

Beh, visto i tuoi interessi direi proprio che le premesse ci sono tutte perché tu ti possa veramente trovare bene in questo forum! Un avvertimento: qui trovarai, se non hai già avuto modo di riscontrarlo, i fan più sfegatati e hardcore dei DT; per cui non ti spaventare se vedi impressionanti operazioni di investigazione a partire da una still di un video o da una semplice foto postata su qualche social da un membro della band! Se non hai idea di cosa sto parlando ti consiglio di leggerti il mastodontico topic di 140 pagine (le ultime 20 soprattutto) sull'album prossimo venturo nella sezione Dream Theater.

Ad ogni modo, chiudo la discussione in italiano altrimenti i moderatori si insospettiscono :D
