Stars and their guitars.
« on: April 27, 2012, 08:19:19 AM »
So who's signature guitar do you like the most and who's do you like the least ?

Not a Def Leppard fan and Phil Collen's Jackson Supreme is pretty ugly I have to say :

Plus it has a really wide neck AND he uses 13 Gauge strings  :omg:

For some reason, I'm a sucker for Billie Joe Armstrong's white Les Paul Junior :

EVH's red guitar wins for me.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Damn right! If I were rich I'd buy one of the Fender replicas or have someone make me one.
Just the sight of that guitar gives me butterflys.

BTW, that's EVH in my sig.

Don't know if its signature, but the guitar Matt Bellamy uses (with a KAOSS pad) is pretty cool.

Then of course there's Mikael Akerfeldt's...

Never really cared for Degarmo's though. (His wardrobe on the other hand is superb)

I'm not really an expert on guitars, but I've always loved the ones that Wilson and Opeth uses. (cause it's the same right?)
Is it Gibson or something? /total naab.

They both use Paul Reed Smiths live (for the most part, SW uses a few others on occasion).

7-string V-shaped baritone guitar with the DTP logo on the 12th fret inlay? Yes please.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Ahh, a subject close to my heart.
My favourite has to be the Vai Jem BSB in blue. Saw a review in a magazine and fell in love with it. I had to settle for a bog standard Jem. When I win the lottery.

At one time I wanted this

And I always had a soft spot for this, just not with that awful headstock

Worst have to be those awful pointy BC Rich metal guitars like the guy from Slayer etc play. Or any Telecaster. Always hated that shape.

Devin Townsend's guitar is a pretty cool guy.

Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

I don't exactly have refined taste in guitars (because I know very little about them), but Mikael's is probably my favorite.  If it didn't have the Opeth symbol (although it's beautiful), that would probably be my next guitar.

John Myung's old bass is really sexy too.
