"Love, just don't stare"?

Anyhoo - hi, Tomislav, I don't think we've met. :)  I do have a query for you though - if you had anything in your life so far to do over/again, what would you change or would you change anything?

What do the voices say?
I can hear them say: "Carry on my Wayward Son."

"Love, just don't stare"?

Hi Debra. I'm just 17 year old so I didn't have much crucial decisions to make. But if I could change anything from my past I wouldn't give a damn about anything :)
Before, I was listening to others and I think that is main reason for my low self-confidence. Like: What will he/she say if I do that? I hope You understand what i want to say ;D

Favorite Dream Theater song?
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

More than 2 years ago, I was searching for a good music on Internet and I found DT. Pull me under was first song I heard but Metropolis part 2: SFAM get me into DT (Home an Finally Free were my favorites).

An easy one first:  Your username, DT reference, T.S. Eliot, or other?  If other, then explain.

Well, DT reference, mostly. The Wasteland section in Trial Of Tears is among the finest DT moments in my personal rankings, as well as being probably the best lyrical bit of their entire opus. Unfortunately I never read Eliot's poem, and I don't really see myself doing it in the short time. I'm a bit too submerged in study business to find the right place to approach such a difficult piece of literature the way it's supposed to.

So, that's it! Welcome to the Wasteland.

You know, my life is still pretty short for having a good numbers of regrets. Besides, I've so far lived a fairly standard, rewarding but not overly exciting life, and I've always tried to keep out of troubles. I don't think I would change too much of my past existence, besides maybe my chronic tendency to think a bit too much in situation where I should act insted, a characterial trait (a flaw is it? I don't know) I'm trying (and I think succeeding) to smooth out a bit. I'll never be a reckless or fast acting person, but I think I'm not gonna be a new Quintus Fabius Maximus in the pejorative sense of the metaphor either.

I would love to visit the South Pole where the sea is white and the stars are strange :)

Another lifelong dream of mine is to be able to cross the US (or at least the deserts and the monument valley) in a car, maybe stopping here and there to greet some selected DTFer like you  ;)

Also, Sweden and Norway always fascinated me with their beautiful blistering cold. The midnight sun is also a cool experience I would like to have at least once in my life. Same goes for a total solar eclipse.

What are your Top 5 favorite bands/musicians?

Alright. It's no mistery that I am an hardcore DT fan, so don't be surprised or insulted to find a DT-heavy list.

Bands:

1. Dream Theater (stationary)
2. Pink Floyd (pretty stationary)
3. Neal Morse (at the moment) (does it count as a band and artist both? :D)
4. Transatlantic (at the moment, but it's been on the list for years now)
5. Beyond The Bridge (at the moment, just discovered them)

Honourable mentions to: Porcupine Tree, OLD Pain Of Salvation, Sylvan, Haken, Ayreon, Anubis, Moon Safari and many many more (mostly in the prog realm, with notable exceptions).

Artists:

1. JR
2. JP
3. David Gilmour
4. Neal Morse
5. EARLY Steven Wilson

Very honourable mentions to JLB, my favourite musician from a personal point of view (I think the way he handled and went past the loss of his range and overall multiple disruption of his singing was heroic), Kevin Moore (great songwriter and composer), Satriani, a couple of Italian songwriters you probably never heard about and many others as well.

You can join any band, which one, and playing what?

I actually don't know which band I would join. Probably no one, because I feel I would enjoy setting a certain direction more than walking down a path that has already been traced by others. As for the instrument I would play, sadly I never received any musical training, so I can't really play anything besides the Bebot (and some Morphwiz). But since we are well into the realm of wishes and fantasies, I would like to play guitars. That's very little I like more than a clean guitar solo in a song.  :)

I never tasted CBH, so I don't really know. Normally, I would choose the full hand over the empty hand, but not if what's in the full hand tastes like shit.

Boring one: how did you get into DT?

Boring answer: though a friend, who had me listen to Regression / Overture 1928 back in fall 2008. I remember being impressed with the complexity of the song, but it was the melodic solo in O28 to leave a lasting trace. Keep in mind that until then I didn't even know what prog was. Over the following few months, he suggested other songs, like Finally Free, Octavarium, Another Day. He was not a huge DT fan, and I quickly surpassed him. It was me who got him to like Falling Into Infinity and Awake, for instance.

As for the other question: LICK MY ASS AND BALLS!!

You can make it a top 3, or top 10 or whatever, too.

Lifetime:
1. Being raised with love and being pushed to be curious.
2. Falling in love with Physics
3. Getting into prog music and music in general

2012:
1. Knowing you (and I'm not saying that because it's you or because I want to be gallant or something. It's a fact)
2. First DT show
3. New perspectives being unveiled for my personal and professional future. Would be higher, but they are still far from materializing.
