Is there a site to see in more detail which artists are releasing something, and what they are releasing? I looked up the official "record store day"-site, but didn't find anything. The wikipedia site lists a few of the more known artists, but it also says "and over 100 more", and it doesn't say what they are releasing. Just curious. :P

It's on their site.

Awesome  :heart

I got a response, probably not the one you wanted though.  If he has one at the end of the day he'd be willing to sell it to me via paypal for pick-up.  Problem is I won't be up in that area until mid-May at the earliest.  So, if no one comes through for you and you don't mind waiting until I travel, I might be able to get you one.
Sounds great actually! This means that if wolf and sky are unable to get me one I'll still have one with a little luck. Thanks for asking him DTVT! :)

Wilson, Sigur Rós and Tallest Man are probably the most interesting ones for me. Will be interesting to see what my record store will have. Wilson doesn't feel that likely, but Sigur Rós are from Iceland so maybe, and Tallest Man feels likely.

I'm starting to think the guy I called actually knows what he has and could have told me but said he didn't just to make me go over there and shop around, cause it seems like everyone else got a positive answer from their stores.
I wouldn't want somebody with 18 kids to mow my damn lawn, based on a longstanding bias I have against crazy fucks.

I don't have specific confirmation from my store, so maybe what your guy said is true.

In any case they better at least have the Feistodon single.  That's number one on my priority list.

Just picked up Catalogue/Preserve/Amass (SW) on Vinyl, man it was expensive. Translated to dollars, I paid ~45 dollars, and it only contains 4 songs, but I'm still pretty happy with buying it.
They also had Tallest Man on Earth, which I wanted to pick up, but didn't have more money then what I spent. Didn't see Sigur Rós sadly, something I really wanted, but maybe it was good since I already found SW.

Got sigur ros!  Picked up the Feistodon single and a really good quality copy of Peter Gabriel Plays Live.  Wish I wasn't so broke so I could have afforded Steven Wilson

Was it expensive in your store as well? Just curious, many of the other vinyls here were pretty cheap, but SW was more expensive.

SW was $30, Sigur Ros was $25 for two LPs.  I don't know if its SW hubris to sell his shit for that price or actually the best price that gives them just enough profit but that's just ridiculous.

Yeah, it was even more expensive for me, what I paid was roughly 45$ for it. I assume that part of the higher price comes from the store having to ship it here, or adding a small fee for those kind of reasons. Sweden isn't the UK or America exactly.  :lol
But yeah, seeing as it was just one vinyl, and only 4 of the 7 songs, it was quite expensive. I'm happy I got it though, really nice collectors item. (plus I already have the CD-version signed!)  :hat

Nice work Matt. :tup

Edit: I had some time Saturday afternoon that I could have gone out, and considered it to look around for the SW vinyl, but I kinda expected everything would be gone at that point, and if not the SW vinyl was probably overpriced anyway.

They're transparant! Maybe it's not clear on that pic, here's a better one:

Holy hell that is beautiful.  Its just now occurring to me that I just should have lied to you and kept the record for myself.

But seriously, no problem!  Always cool to help a DTFer out.
