I was just curious, because every time I eat something with balsamic vinegar, my pee smells funny. Like, really bad. No other foodstuff has this effect on me.

So, I was just curious if I was solitary in this affliction.

I have yet to care enough to correlate the smell of my pee with any particular part of my diet. Pee smells like pee.

I've never heard of vinegar being an issue, but I think everybody metabolizes things differently. I suppose it could also be your sense of smell just picks up on that more than anything else; who knows?

Rarely can I 'smell' my pee as I'm taking a leak, and the only time(s) I can remember are when I've eaten asparagus recently, of course. Other than that, I can't recall ever being able to smell it at all unless I'm in at a urinal, in which case it's just smelled like piss.

My piss gets a weird smell to it whenever I drink anything coffee related. Not sure what's in the coffee causing it, but it's pretty weird.

The mystery may be solved. I very rarely eat asparagus, but I ate it today. With balsamic vinegar.

I think it was in my meal the last time I had balsamic, as well.

It could, in hindsight, have been the asparagus.

Asparagus does sometimes but not always. If you ask my 3.5 year old nephew what asparagus does he tells you "IT MAKES YOUR PEE SMELL."
