« on: April 13, 2012, 01:51:32 PM »
The return of Dream Theater to Minnesota's Theater District.

Thank God I can go to this, it falls right around the time of my graduation party and weddings for other people in the family so this date is perfect.

Anyone else going?

Thanks to Pockets17red for this info. Tickets go on pre-sale this Thursday at 10 AM.

I will be there for sure.  I'm thinking that most of the guys from my band will come along and I know that my dad is game too.  Hopefully, we can represent MN a little better than the last show.

I think this one will be way better. Last time it was Progressive Nation which didn't do as well because people want 2 hours of DT not 40 minutes of two bands and an hour of another and 90 minutes of DT :lol

I definitely anticipate more people and people want to see Mangini and the re-energized DT

Good Points.  I'm optimistic about this one.

I think I'll be at this one.  I normally head to Chicago but I will be vacationing in Canada this summer and that is right on the way...we'll see.

I just set up an account...used to have one here a while back but anyways...YES I'll be there with at least 3 to 5 other buddies. Last time was Dark clouds and it was great.  Hopefully at least 2hrs or more this time around.  Crimson Project should be interesting.

Very cool!

When I go to the Orpheum, State, or Panatage Theater, I always want to get front row balcony or in the first 5 rows in the balcony in the center. Best views of the stage in my opinion. The balcony extends so far out that you only see the first few rows and then the stage. It's great.

Good luck to you and yours. I will make the pilgrimage to the box office window of the 'State' mid morning tomorrow with the window opening at high noon. I hope for my sake there are few people doing the same and I get something decent.   :coolio

BTW, I had your preferred seats last time they were at the Oprheum with bcsl and I can just barely make myself out in the audience pic from Portnoy.   :metal     Yes, great seats indeed but I do think you get a little better sound on the floor...more resonance of the low end.

How did you guys end up with such great seats?  I was on at 12:03 and ended up with row R in MF2.  Had two computers going to try and find a better spot, but no luck.

I am pumped for this too. At least it's in June and not in August like the Black Clouds tour. I wished my entire summer away because I was so excited for the show

I was totally pumped and I wish I didn't have to say this but I need to get rid of my tickets for the Minneapolis State Theater show since I can no longer go. So I'm going to take a loss and sell them cheaper than face value. I have them on eBay. Loge Right, Row A, Seat 3&4. You will be on the right right which is the side Jon Petrucci plays on stage. I wish I didn't have sell them cheap but I have to. $100 for two. It's a sad day for me. :'(

Won't be long now boys and girls (mostly boys). Gonna be a hot day with highs well into the 90s and high humidity. Drink plenty of beer before the show but don't over do it...maybe have some 'tea' :police:

Great show! Same set.

LaBrie fell again. During Bridges In The Sky, right into the audience, microphone stand and all.

Dammit I feel  so bad for James. A fall right into the orchestra pit.  I couldn't believe it was happening. I thought at first he had jumped down into the audience on purpose but then I realized he fell off the stage.  He climbed back up and sang his heart out. He is really singing well, hitting every note.  But I wish I could have gone up there and given him a man hug. Poor guy.  But he really did well the rest of the night. Great show. Crimson was just nuts.

I was filming BITS but shut it off right before he fell.   :-\

Killer show!
