Good memory! Yes I am, and funny thing is that I found Ghost at the peak of me finding religion again in my life. But yeah, it's never bothered me. If you read and listen to some interviews with the band they are very quick to point out they are an entertainment act first and overall are very respectful about religion and especially physical churches with one ghoul saying he visits churches on tour to appreciate the architecture and such. Very respectful guys. They also raise some pretty interesting topics for Christians to discuss such as Mummy Dust which is about placing value on money and greed which is ironic since it says in God We Trust. Cirice as well, since I have witnessed first hand churches going for a person's weakness to bring them in to their beliefs and then kinda drop them once they join and start donating. It's very interesting to me
So yeah, it's never bugged me--the only one that does for some reason is Prime Mover. I don't know why, to me it's their darkest piece. The other thing that helped with Ghost not bugging me was listening to their other bands in which they talk about falling in love with blonde women at bars. That also helped me realize how tongue in cheek Ghost is. They are just fans of 70s hard rock which sang about the same stuff--just not as blatant.
I do wonder how many people do think Ghost is serious about what they sing about. There's gotta be some that do. The fanbase is pretty interesting in terms of that. There are those that seriously seem to think that they are a group of Satanists and that each Papa is actually different.
