Sweet! Can't wait for the album. Their two albums are both brilliant stuff.

I'm a very casual fan, but I will check out anything new they put out. Their debut was good, the second one was even better, and pretty good as a whole. I feel like the thing that makes the band interesting is also kinda the thing that stops me from getting 100% into them, their image that is. It's fun and not to be taken too seriously, and I don't mind their visual concept with the goofy costumes, but that also stops me from getting into them that last part. Image aside, I would say their music is very okay. I definitely enjoy their music, and some songs (especially on the last album) were pretty great. But in all honesty, if they didn't have the image and just looked like five normal dudes on stage, I really doubt they would be a big band right now. They are definitely smart though, they have utilized their image perfectly, and I can't really think of another band that has done so many things right as Ghost has.

I really want to see Ghost live. Both of their albums pwn so I'm stoked for a third installment.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Something is happening in Ghost land.

A magazine article in Sweden describes the new album as being darker, industrial post apocalypse theme with more guitar. Papa Emeritus III will dance onstage and will debut either before or on June 4 with the single coming before the first show or "soon" as the site says.

Song titles thus far include:
Devil's Church
He Is
Majesty
Circle

Oh, I also forgot to include that the band is working with Klas Ahlund on this record who has previously worked with Katy Perry, Madonna, Kesha, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Jordin Sparks, and many others.

Papa Emeritus III is unveiled in Ghost ad for new album, Meloria. You can't really get a good look at him though.

I'm hoping that song at the end is a song from the album. That bass riff is awesome.

Also cool masks that the band will be wearing. Definitely gonna be a cool album cycle. I wonder which movie poster the new album cover will be modeled after.

Love his voice on this track--definitely a heavier Ghost coming our way. I read a comment from someone who said the album has growls on it. Wouldn't be surprising Tobias has done them before in Repugnant

Well, that was quite enjoyable!  I've gotta say, I can really hear Subvision coming through on this.

I'm _really_ looking forward to whatever one was teased in the video from  last week, with the brutal bassline.

Didn't even think about that, but you're right--especially with his vocal melodies--nice to see another Subvision fan.

Papa III debuted today and he doesn't look much different. The Ghouls look cool though! Majesty sounds spectacular and the song at the end of the promo was Pinnacle to the Pit

Judging from these songs, this new album is gonna have some really catchy choruses.

They played again tonight at a festival. I like this Papa--his robe is really cool. And in another photo, this incarnation has hair. It amazes me the amount of people who believe that the singer changes too with each Papa

The Ghouls look really cool this go around too, ditching the cassocks and going for a more refined look. And those masks are killer.

Their show at the Sweden Rock Festival yesterday got a 4 out of 5 in the paper:

I was looking at some video the other day and I was wondering if they got a new drummer. Some of the comments were asking as well--the setup of the kit was different and the drummer usually plays open handed not cross handed

They've gotten quite a few new members since they began.  I believe the only consistent members are Papa and one of the guitarists who were in Subvision together.

I think Simon, Martin (both are guitars) and Papa have remained the same, they were all Magna Carta Cartel as well. The bass and keyboard players have changed, I know that. I was just surprised if the drummer changed as well since he was Martin's brother. But the nice thing about this band is that changes can happen and for the most part, no one can tell  :lol
