Had a good laugh the other day. My 12 y/o son comes walking in the room singing "Lucifahhhhh, we are heeeeere..."(Con Clavi Con Dio)

BTW, I discovered a few bands that sound like Ghost: Witchfinder General and Pentagram. Very evil and Sabbathy. :tup

Pentagram is an oldie and a goody.  It was great to see Bobby pull himself out of his drug addictions and get his life back together, along with building the bridges back with other band members. :)

I hear much Mercyful Fate in these guys, and that's a good thing. Pretty cool band.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Wasn't his real identity recently revealed?
Yep.
I thought that was a rumour.

There was a rumour that there was a rumour, but that was just bullshit.

By far my favorite Douglas line. Well done.

On first listen it was pretty ordinary to me, but will probably grow just like the first album did.

Two listens in, the first time was "it's pretty good, i guess", the second was "wow, this is pretty good!".  It's a grower.

Glad to see they aren't trying to replicate OE.

Ghost is now known in North America as........Ghost B.C.

Quote
In the year of 13, the second phase of GHOST B.C. begins with the release of the sophomore psalm INFESTISSUMAM on April 9, 2013 on Loma Vista Recordings. Papa Emeritus II succeeded Papa Emeritus at the conclusion of phase one in the year of 12, and the Nameless Ghouls joined him under the unholy church's current moniker Ghost B.C. - (Modified from Ghost in the US for legal reasons). Make no mistake though. The rituals still demand the same reverence and praise, fortified through a delivery of sweetly satanic melodies, snaking distorted riffs, and vaudevillian keyboards.

More importantly, their original singer left?
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Secular Haze live:

They played at a music award show in Sweden and I think they successfully converted everybody in that arena.

They posted somethign on their FB saying something to the effect of "Patience, children, more to come", strongly suggesting a second leg, hitting other areas.

Apparently they had to change their name, now Ghost B.C. due to legal reasons.

Well that's the downside of becoming popular and ("mainstream"). How many underground bands investigate the trademark of their band name and legal stuff in general? Besides...you probably won't find anything by yourself but you can be damn sure "they" will find you when the money starts rollin.

It definitely was more aggressive than their debut. Not that much more, but it was heavier and seemed to move them forward a bit

I approve. It'll look cool next to Opus Eponymous.

Oh, and here is the video for Secular Haze. Very Abba-esque and very cool

The more I hear these guys, the more I don't like the vocals.  They sound great on the first album, but sound weaker now.  Sort of like Simon Le Bon trying to be heavy.
