Usually post in the DT section, but Ghost has ruled 2015 for me while I've been taking a little break from DT as I usually do before they release a new album.

When Secular Haze came out awhile back, I clicked on the video for some weird reason. Loved the song and the video was so entertaining in a comical sort-of-way.

When Cirice dropped, I was floored. Meliora has turned out to be my favorite album of 2015, and Ghost has filled that void DT normally filled up, until The Astonishing drops of course.

There is not a bad song on Meliora. The album is super accessible which is very refreshing every once in awhile to someone who really only listens to DT, SW and Opeth.

My current fav is the album's closer, Deus In Absentia. But Absolution (maybe the "fan fav" track on this album?) is catching up.

Other favs: He Is (Maybe my overall favorite, gun to head), Spirit, Cirice, From The Pinnacle To The Pit

Least Fav: Majesty

These guys sure know how to write killer riffs, and huge, catchy addicting hooks. Their next album is my most anticipated of any band, and that hurts me to say as I have been a DT obsessor since SFAM!

Meliora is extremely consistent and you're right about there not being a bad track, it's great through and through. If you haven't heard the bonus track, Zenith, check it out

That's cool that they seem to be intentionally going off the beaten track on the next tour (LI and NJ, but no NYC).  I might have to miss this tour depending on the exact date of a professional certification exam), but I'll still make the attempt.

Amazing that, three (and a half) albums in, there's only one song that isn't very good (Idolatrine)...and even they know it, as it's never been played live, despite three tours worth of opportunities.

i listened to this album twice and didn't get much out of it either time but then i hear clips from the songs and i'm like "damn this is awesome" and i'm wondering why the album failed to leave any impact on me but i somehow want it regardless

if you get the chance, go see them. I missed them twice already, but I'll make damn sure I catch them next time. Their live show is awesome.

I have a shit-ton going on around the Stroudsburg date, but like the venue, and might try and make it up for that.

Yay, too bad they collected it before the live broadcast and were received in almost total silence on the podium, it seems.  But one up for Theatrical Rock!  :tup

Just discovered Meliora / this band. What can I say, awesome stuff! Hard to pick a favorite amongst so many gems, I think it's a tie between "He Is" and "Absolution".

My fingers are crossed that they are covering Tears for Fears with "I Believe." That would be so interesting! There are probably many songs with that title, but seeing as how they've already covered Depeche Mode, Abba, and Army of Lovers, I think Tears for Fears would make sense. Plus, it's such a beautiful song.

New song is really a little too 'poppy' for my taste, but it's starting to grow on me. I'm glad they're finally releasing a 'deluxe' edition of Meliora with the ep and bonus track Zenith included.

Very curious which direction they will go with the next full album, though.

Video for Square Hammer

Notice that only 4 Nameless Ghouls appear with Papa in the video.
People on the Ghost Subreddit are speculating that Omega(Rhythm Guitarist) might be out of the band

He was missing for a few dates earlier this year. They had Water(Bassist) cover on Rhythm guitar. But I heard that was due to Visa issues.

The video is different, they could have easily dressed up anybody in the Ghoul outfit just for the video. No one would know the difference. Makes me think something's up.
