Have more NFL players than usual been arrested this summer or is it just being reported in the news more often?  This can't reflect well on the league, can it?

Doesn't seem to be any different, according to the NFL arrests database.  Arrests seem to be somewhat cyclical, with an increase around the beginning of training camp, and just after the regular season.

I'm pretty excited for this year's season. Hopefully the Browns can do something so I'm not depressed when watching every single one of their games.

Fair enough.  I'm just surprised that anyone could find the Chiefs of all teams to be hate-able.

Many, many great battles over the years, especially in the 90s, amped up my hatred for them.  The Raiders are close, but they sucked for so long in the past decade that it was hard to hate them quite as much as the Chiefs. :lol

I agree with the Raiders, they arent a rival or anything of my team (Giants), but they are hard to hate considering theyve been so terrible.

I'm not. There may be some 'boys fans on DTF but I can't immediately think of even one. El Barto lives in or near Dallas but iirc he wouldn't shit on Jerry Jones' head to save them from being deported to the CFL.

Fuck Tomarick Vanover.

Dante Hall, too.  It still angers me that the Chiefs won that home game against the Broncos in 2003 where Hall returned a punt 90+ yards late in the 4th quarter only because a handful of blocks in the back that Helen Keller could have seen weren't called. :censored :censored :censored   Games like that only intensified my hatred for that team.

I hate Cowboys fans way more than the team though. Well the ones who aren't from TX. I've met so many folks who even come from other NFL markets that have the 'boys as their #1 team simply because they were too fair weather to root for their teams during the lean years.

I'm not against having a 1A (as in a 2nd-favorite team to root for when your team is in a perennial shithole.) The Bills took me through 2/3 of the 90s and then the Saints had crept back into acceptability by the time the Bills fell off the Earth in the 00s.

What I really despise is when folks talk shit or brag on behalf of teams that aren't even from their home area. Excuse me, what bragging rights do you have? What do you share with this team that makes you eligible to get mouthy based on their performance?

There is a surprisingly large amount of Cowboy fans in NJ.  Most of them became fans as front runners during the 90s when they were really good.  Most of them are really annoying.  I used to work with two guys, one born, raised and lived in NJ his whole life as well as another born, raised, and lived in Staten Island, NY his whole life. Both were die hard Cowboy fans and niether could have a normal football convo without talking about how awesome the cowboys are, even when talking about how the Giants just beat them.
