The Reese's Peanut Butter Egg is the greatest of all. The ratio of peanut butter to chocolate is incredible.

The creation and destruction of harmonic and 'statistical' tensions is essential to the maintenance of compositional drama. Any composition (or improvisation) which remains consonant and 'regular' throughout is, for me, equivalent to watching a movie with only 'good guys' in it, or eating cottage cheese.

Peeps are disgusting little marshmallow birds covered in colored sugar. They are fun to microwave because you can watch them melt and get really big. Otherwise, they have absolutely no redeeming quality.

I've never tried Peeps. The testimonies from people of how bad they are (as such can be seen in this thread) has always scared me away.

They also seem to taste stale no matter how fresh they are. They're right on par with circus peanuts and candy corn in terms of shittiness and nearly as bad as black jelly beans but nowhere near as good as black_floyd.

Peeps, I get.  It's marshmallow and sugar.  Not sure what the problem is.

Circus peanuts...  Like 'em or not, there's a reason they sell like crazy.

Candy corn...  Personally, I think it is vile, but I know enough people like it.

But black jelly beans?  Ew.

For me, the thing with Peeps is that it's not just marshmallow, it is the most stale, vile, ancient marshmallow they could find right out of the package, every time.

I didn't list black jelly beans because I do not consider them candy.  They are a cruel reminder from God that life has it's downsides too.

Not sure where people are getting their Peeps from, but for the ones I've eaten right out of the package, they have almost always been fresh, soft, and fluffy like you would want marshmallows to be.  If they were always stale, I could definitely understand people not liking them, but that is not my experience.

Tangent:  They should include leftover Easter candy as mystery ingredients on Chopped.  (and not for the dessert course)

Tangent somewhat related to previous tangent:  Arje, are you watching Chopped All Stars?  If you plan to and haven't seen this week's yet, I will reserve comments so as not to spoil anything, other than to say there is one Iron Chef in particular that I cannot stand who was competing, and thankfully did not win last night's round.

Also, I hate Peep's too, but my mom did something creative with them this year,

Most people these days don't actually know what real licorice tastes like and end up thinking that stuff like anise is the taste of licorice. It's because of an overreaction to the fact that licorice root has a component that when consumed in very excessive amounts can increase can cause heart problems.

For Easter my parents introduced me to these dark chocolate Ghirardelli squares with sea salt caramel inside.  First dark chocolate anything I've put into my mouth and truly enjoyed.  It must have been anointed by the gods.
