Wheat IPA?  Interesting...I'll have to get my step dad to get me a six-pack next time I head up to PA.  He owns a beer distributer and can get pretty much anything.  Not a bad homebrew idea if I wasn't already preparing to make my special graduation ale.

Johnstown, PA - probably a little too far of a drive for you Coz.

Yeah, a little out of the way.  I used to play in a little town just outside Johnstown, called Friedens.

Coz - I know where Friedens is.  Kind of a weird place for a show.

Axe - Well, since the VT colors are maroon and orange, I want to do a red ale with some orange and citrus-ey tones, kind of like a cross between an Irish red and a summer ale.  I'm still trying to decide on final spices, and hop selection; although my initial inclination is to use a mixture of lemon and bitter orange peel, grains of paradise.  I'm trying to avoid Cascade hops just because of the "been there, done that" aspect.  I'll probably see what the homebrew store has and make a decision there.  I'm extremely partial to White Labs yeasts, and I think I'm going to try their East Coast Ale variety.
