For the genius lyric : " Her name ain't Rio and I din't care for sand. "

i love their music, but i don't think Pain of Salvation can write lyrics for shit! i listen to stuff like "Used" and "Scarsick" (okay, most of Scarsick in its entirety...) and cringe if i pay attention to the words.

of course, Daniel Gildenlöw is a poetic genius compared to a lot of mainstream pop music, but i figured this topic would be pretty boring if we just listed every Justin Bieber song or whatever.

What? Scarsick aside, Daniel is one of the best lyricists I have ever heard. TPE (album), RL, etc have pretty much the greatest lyrics ever.

I like most of the lyrics from ADTOE, and I really like some of the purply proggy lyrics from the older stuff, as well as brief, thoughtful verses like in Wait For Sleep.  :D
