Wow, don't think I've ever seen that one before.  Impressive casting call there.  It's a variation on the old chestnut.

Not sure what the show was but the pair at the start were a "resident club band" comedy act that were on lots of shows, as i recall, called "Raw Sex".

I think the show was called French and Saunders and ran in the late 80s-early 90s.

That sounds right! They also did the music at the start of The Comic Strip iirc, which featured the fantastic metal band spoof Bad News.
