I too would be interested in writing band or album reviews. Gotta keep myself busy while unemployed.

Check out my Clockwork Angels review Matt and tell me your thoughts!

Immediately I found myself enraged because you say "they haven't done a full concept since 2112" when 2112 was not a full concept album  >:(  But really, I think you did a good job explaining the songs and describing them musically.  I might have to contribute my own review, because there clearly aren't enough already.  :lol

Well yeah but it's their only concept so I didn't want to put half album concept.  I knew when I did that I'd have someone up in arms.  I though it would be Nick though. :lol
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.” - Bob Newhart
So wait, we're spelling it wrong and king is spelling it right? What is going on here? :lol -- BlobVanDam

Ok.. Just published the Ian Anderson interview.... still under effect of his presence....

If you haven't got time for the whole video today, at least make sure to see the last 3 minutes, you won't regret! Good laughs there!
Also..  the 5.30 is quite nice :)

Here it is...

OK, finally I get to see this thing, been hearing about it for a while now. I remember you talking about how cold he was at first but it definitely seems that you had won him over by the end. Damn does he come across as an intelligent man. Really enjoyed the part where he is talking about making eye cfontact with the fans at the end, and I love the bit around the 29 minute mark about the metal fans being a bunch of black cladmen thrusting the fist in the air, sounds like a certain forum I know. :P

Anyways, good stuff Nem, as usual, and a very big feather in your cap here, you should be proud of this one. :tup

Wow, very cool!  Thick as a Brick is actually one of the first albums I ever owned, and I treasure it.  Just to hear Ian himself talking about it was surreal for me.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, that was pretty cool around 5:30 when he was naming some modern prog bands, and Dream Theater was the first one that came to mind.

I liked his explanation for why sometimes it's Jethro Tull and sometimes it's Ian Anderson.  That was the best explanation I've heard of for something that probably makes more sense to the artist than to the fans.  It makes a bit more sense now.  But I'm still not sure how that applies to Thick as a Brick II being an Ian Anderson album as opposed to a Jethro Tull album.  He only spoke of live gigs and what the audience should expect.  If it's a CD, I would have thought that releasing it under the Jethro Tull name would make more sense.  I thought maybe he was going to talk about how certain people would have to be on the album for it to be called Jethro Tull (Martin, Jeffrey, etc.) but he didn't go there, so it left me a bit confused.

Yeah good point!

Well tricky issues... I actually had a question about Martin too... But I could ask 30 % of my questions... His answers were kinda long... :)

Not that I'm complaining though...

On a side note, this was by far the most challenging interview I've done...  Another difficult one will be Jon Anderson... for which I might knock at your door, Mr. Yes expert  :)

2 more Headspace albums already planned out!  :woot:

Wilson invited for Maiden... didn't know that.  Probably a good thing, because then maybe Bruce would've never (had to) come back.

Hurry up with part 2!
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Those were the best things about the interview for me :)

Inevitable comment: He's so handsome.

Nice stuff, seems like a hell of a nice guy too.

Now, is it my imagination, or when he mentioned editing the video around the 3:40 mark, and you responded,"and I will", did you make a :neverusethis: face?
