If Pokemon were real, which would you want as a companion?

Inspired by the "which would you rather " thread.

If you could have a Pokemon as a pet which would you choose. Keep in mind all the variables that exist in real life. For example, and Onix would be kick ass, but where you keep it? A Snorlax would be sweet, but think of the food bill to keep the thing fed. If you happen to live on a huge farm, a Rapidash would be kind of cool, but certainly not if you live in a condo.

I think I might choose a Growlithe. It is like a dog, isn't huge, and doesn't have any open flame that would burn me if I played with it (unlike a Charmander).

Can't be a big legendary....too big.
Can't be a joker like mr.mime..or mime jr (no matter how effective they are)
Could't be a coffing or a wheezing..to smelly stinky.

Good one.

Something small and managable. Like a pikachu, squirtle, or charmander. Nothing too special. I'm leaning charmander. I wouldn't have to worry about the open flame since they can control the physics of it.

Charmander. It has always been my favorite pokemon. If not that, then maybe one of the Eeveelutions.

If I could have only 1 it would certainly have to be one that could learn Fly, as travelling anywhere I've ever been in an instant would be the best part of having a pokemon.

And of course being badass doesn't hurt, so a legendary would be cool, probably Reshiram.

Because of the reason stated above I'd probably choose Articuno. And he would also be very useful during the hot summer when the power goes out. Fuck you AC!  :D

Either any of the Eeveelutions (besides Flareon and Glaceon) or Vulpix would be my first choices.  Snivy, Chimchar, Oshawott, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Totodile, or Piplup would also be great (just went down the starter line haha).
