The ____ band thread - v. they don't need their own thread
« on: February 03, 2012, 05:05:02 PM »
Inspired by the Melodic/AOR thread, and knowing that there are plenty of bands that probably don't need a whole thread dedicated to them, here we discuss our love of the unheralded prog band.

Starting with Darwin's Radio.  Thanks to King during lonestar's roulette, I had to check these guys out.  Sweet moses it's damn good.  You like Frost*, listen to this - Dec Burke (who sang lead on EIMA) is the frontman here.  Maybe that's generally known, but I didn't.  Hopefully they release more music.

So wait, we're spelling it wrong and king is spelling it right? What is going on here? :lol -- BlobVanDam

Never heard of any of these bands.  Look forward to checking some new great music in here.

Here's one for the metal heads, Iron Savior.  Great power metal band, that deserves much more attention.

Siam Shade.  i don't know if many people on the forum have heard of this band.  Siam Shade are a Japanese rock band (with prog influences) and are one of my favorite bands.

Here's the grooveshark link to their album "5" - https://grooveshark.com/#!/album/SIAM+SHADE+V+/1001062
In high school my buddies and I built a Van Der Graaf generator.  You know, to get girls.

Yeah, I've been looking forward (and in some respects dreading) your top 50 v2.
