14 years ago today, my wife was in labor and we spent the day in the hospital in the maternity ward. They had basic cable in the room, but it was dismal. The only thing I could find was "Groundhog Day" playing on USA. I caught the end of it, then in true USA Network fashion, they played it again right after, and I was pleased. When it finished, they showed it again. Ha ha, very funny. Keep repeating the movie, just as the movie itself has that repetition theme going on. They literally showed it all day over and over again.
It wasn't until later that I realized that that day was Groundhog Day. To me, February 2 is not Groundhog Day anymore, but my daughter's birthday.
Also, it bugs me when people call it "Groundhog's Day". It's a national holiday, folks. Get it right.
