1. Football (soccer)
2. Golf
3. Tennis
4. I used to like F1 but only when JP Montoya used to race. Now he sucks. - NFL (only the Super Bowl, the rest is just boring.)
5. I used to like watching the Chicago Bulls as a kid. NBA.

Fencing? Like, at a university or what? Sounds cool.

Very, very briefly in college and I fenced out of several different fencing academies in NYC, DC, and Ohio.
I LOVED fencing. Like boxing, sex, and chess all rolled into one.  Focus, strategy, power, speed, flexibility, core strength, stamina, tactical execution, and incredible forethought and did I mention speed? You need all of these things to fence even adequately.

I used to be a big baseball fan, and somewhat of a football fan, but now I don't watch sports. Or play them. The only sports I watch are the Olympics when they roll around.

Football (aka Soccer)
F1 (Formula 1)
Hockey
Football (as in NFL)

Surprising. Do you stream it or does some Swedish network actually broadcast it?

And to those claiming billiards, :lol. That's a recreation activity, not a sport.

Come play me 100$ a rack 9-ball, I'll have you sweating BBs.  ;)

Honestly though, if someone can claim golf, I can claim billiards.

EDIT: just re-read your post, you made such a disclaimer about golf too.

Billiards is a sport since it is a physical activity that utilizes and refines coordination, is competitively contested, and can get you laid by white trash skanks.

Football (American)
Hockey
Basketball
*World Cup Soccer*
Baseball
LaCrosse

I don't get into Soccer by in large I don't have any real rooting interest other than our national team, but when the World Cup rolls around, I'm watching.  The nice thing about the last two World Cups is that I've been able to take half-days to watch the US team.

I would call myself a sports nut. I'll watch pretty much anything (even soccer...) and play most things (although things like "running" and "climbing" don't fit here...zzzz). In terms of a top five:

Cricket
AFL Football
Tennis
Rugby Union (not the one where people continuously run into other people)
Everything else, couldn't pick a clear 5th
I punch those numbers into my calculator and they make a happy face.

To play?  Curling and golf are my favourites.

Fun fact, I stopped curling when I moved from Wisconsin to Canada.  Had trouble finding a team I could join.  Well, I had friends that played but they were already in established leagues so I never got going since I was there only two years.  ...and Atlanta downright sucks.  I think there are maybe five ice rinks in the metro area, and none of them support curling. :(

Yeah, I played on the team in college, and have played off and on in leagues since.  My present league has 3 masters level players, and a shit ton of guys who are damn close to it.  The only way to get better is getting your butt kicked, and it happens to me often with the caliber of guys I shoot against.

When I play with my friends, we just play teams. I never get a ball in the pocket. I just setup my shots where the other team has no shot.  :lol

The difference between the AFL and Australian Rules is that the second one is good.

I  like watching grid iron (as it is known here), I even tried playing juniors once - but they didn't have a helmet that fit my head, for realz.
