My roulette had no set time frame for completion and there is no rush. :p

My hope is to have a tally up either tonight or tomorrow night.

Nick, this dating thing has got your mind all messed up...Iconoclast #5?  Number freaking 5??!??!??!??!??!? Ahead of Pendragon, Arch/Matheos, Scale the Summit, Redemption, Myrath, Haken, Fair to Midland, Evergrey, TDH, Amorphis, and The Anabasis?  And that's just stuff I know you should have and like.  Is Allen or Romeo giving you blowjobs on the side?  I just looked, and I have 30 albums that I would say are hands down better than Iconoclast, which gets extremely boring after the title track.  12 of those are albums I wouldn't expect you to like, but that still leaves 15 albums (you have DT, Flaming Row, and PoS ahead of SyX already).

You deserve all of these.

Because I like it more than all of them.  I wouldn't have known that was Journey unless someone told me.  What really did it for me was a 90 second part toward the end of the song, it was musically probably the most interesting thing I got in the first round.

I haven't heard anything from TMV, Manchester, or Brand New that interests me in the least.  Sleepytime is hit or miss for me.  Unfortunately I compare everything I hear from them to their live performance, which I'm pretty sure can't be topped in studio.

That solo was recorded twice, both takes are on the record in parallel.

1. Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning
2. Neal Morse - Testimony 2
3. Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn of Events

Those were the only albums I really got into that were from 2011.  I spent all my other time discovering older stuff.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. G. Sertillanges
