Is anybody else here a super-fan of The Naked and Famous? They are an alternative rock / synthpop band from New Zealand. I heard about them a while back on this forum, but I haven't seen too much discussion.
To my ears, they sound like a mix of Passion Pit, M83, NIN, and Radiohead. I'm sure there's much more influence in there that you guys could pick out as well. The big thing that sold me on them, and appealed to the prog-fan in me, is that the production and synth sounds are AWESOME. I saw them live in Boston this summer, and the sound is just as good live... it was very refreshing to see/hear.
Check out the song "Eyes"... my jaw hit the floor the first time I listened with headphones.
Please tell me I'm not the only one in love with this band! haha
