A question for all you cats who watched The Last Airbender: what did you guys think of Legend of Korra?

I didn't think it was even on yet.  I was thinking mid-April.

I've been watching a lot of BBC's Top Gear lately. It's a nice show to watch on a rainy Saturday morning.

There is going to be a 9-month break in between the two halves of Breaking Bad's fifth season.

Lame.

I'm making my way through season 3 of Justified, and I just finished episode 8.  I think it might be one of the funniest shows on TV.  Most of the actors have phenomenal comedic timing, and the dialogue they're given is really great.

I love the southern pleasantries with the underlying theme of disdain.  Great writing and great acting.

Both have such an undertone of evil, just waiting to burst out.  Quarles is starting to let it all out.

I've started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender again, in order to fill up the holes in my viewership. I'd forgotten how excellent the characters were in the latter seasons.

It's excellent so far. The animation itself is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see more.

Just started watching a new Series called Touch on Sky 1, just finished watching the first 3 episodes back to back. Its written by Tim Kring (Heroes) and stars Kiefer Sutherland. Really enjoying it so far, anyone else seen it?

EDIT: Oops just seen this post
There is a new show on Fox "Touch", starring Kiefer Sutherland. I always enjoyed watching 24, and the concept looks interesting. Anyone else interested?

Farscape is awesome, but it takes a few episodes to get really good.

Season 2 may be one of the best seasons of Sci-Fi television... ever.

Finally rewatched the Legend of Korra pilot(s). Because it's in HD, I can really appreciate how much work they put into the artwork and it really is incredible to watch.

Alright.  There is nothing better than seeing an arm get cut off on a show.  I love you Justified.

Just finished the fourth season of Lost, still enjoying it. S4 might have been my least favorite season, but it still had a few really good episodes (The Constant with Desmond comes to mind) and I still think it's pretty interesting.
If I had to rank the seasons I would probably say: 2 > 1 > 3 > 4

I watched the pilot when it premiered 10 years ago and hated it, but heard good things from various people, so I gave it another shot. I soon regretted it. After getting half-way through it, its one of those "gotta see it through till the end" sorts of things, simply so that I could say I gave it a thorough chance and it failed in almost every way imaginable. I'd give it a 1.5/5 at best.

I find that difficult to believe.  That's one of the worst-rated shows in TV history.  Amazing that it lasted 13 episodes.

This is a fascinating video essay about the visual style of The Wire.

Anyone with the slightest bit of interest in The Wire should watch it.  If you are interested in or appreciate cinematography / directing / etc. and don't mind a few very minor spoilers, you should watch it too.  Although if you've never seen The Wire, you should really do that first because you're missing out.

Just finished the season 3 finale of Justified. My god, that show's writing is off the charts, it is so splendidly witty. I started off thinking that it was more of the same wild west bullshit but portrayed through some dark comedic style and one of my favorite actors (which obviously isn't a bad thing but it also can't be a saving grace), but by the time I caught up with the show it had become one of my most beloved series; now it is sitting at the top. That was by far and away the best finale I've ever seen; I cannot wait for season 4 and I truly hope the writing is as great as it was this season and that last episode. "It's a piggy bank!"  :rollin So fucking awesome. Really great show. Anyone who hasn't seen it needs to give it a shot. I abhor most gun-play and the entirety of the cowboy genre, but this show has so many twists and coats it with so many different colors that by the time the show ends it's an entirely different monster. One sexy beast.

Oh and poor Arlo... I truly feel sorry for the man. He's always been pitied by me but his infinitely expansive asshole-ego dulled it quite a bit. But now... Eh. Useless old man.

DTP says "WOW, LOOK AT THAT GREAT POST"
RIP DTP.

My sister got me hooked to Desperate Housewives, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.
Damn it, I was even disappointed to see that there was no new episode this week.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

It has a 6.5 average on IMDB, which isn't bad at all. It was also because of DC fan demand that it was released on DVD. I consider myself in that league, so I figured I might find something to like about it. I was quite mistaken.

^^^ I'm having a hard time getting the audio to work right on that Wire video, but I'll definitely check it out sometime soon. I believe it was Alan Sepinwall who put out the call on Twitter for someone to make an opening credits sequence for The Wire in the style of Game of Thrones, showing all the different parts of Baltimore. I really hope someone takes up the challenge, because it would be *awesome*

It's this weird thing with Vimeo.  After the video starts, you have to press the sound bar on the bottom to get the audio to activate for some reason.
