Time to go suggest about 15 corrections to lyric websites that have this wrong. I have been trying to figure how that made sense  ever since I first lookd the lyrics up.

Side note: How do I use the exploding head emoticon?

:lol I looked up the lyrics when it first came out online before the release.  I was singing, " . . . alone in standing north" with feeling and enthusiasm until I actually got the CD and found out the correct lyrics.  I still hear the incorrect lyrics every time

I even have the CD, i just didn't look at the lyric book because I didn't feel like opening it a second time. I have been singing that very enthusiastically for about 7 months now.

So I was listening to The Dark Eternal Night yesterday, and I thought about the lyrics, and I thought to myself, wouldn't it make more sense if the lyrics actually said, "Climbing endless stairs, leading to the choking room."

Then it dawned on me, I've been hearing it wrong, this whole time.

Until yesterday, I was convinced that the actual lyrics were, "Blinding endless stares, leading to the choking room."  :lol

Thanks to that TBP analysis thread, I found out the lyrics are "if the candle lights this crooked path" rather than "cricket path"

The cycle's nest of hatred slips away
When temptation brings me to my knees, an alleged train of strength
Hear "me" for "me" is my soul; I'm Learning to Live
Listening to the city, whispering its violence, I said I'm watching from above
Once again we dance in the clouds and time a-slip away
Once we touch we send a loan

In the first verse of TSF:

"Honest to see my face
Open to runaways"

Instead of

"Honest to see my place
Open to other ways"

Only today did I realize that in ITNOG, he sings, "Straight is the path, leading to your salvation."

What I always used to hear was:

"Stray is the path, leading to your salvation"

Which kind of makes sense, if you ask me.

Sometimes in live versions: "To those who understand, why extend my hand?"

Kinda changes the meaning  :lol

In Scarred, I always thought James was singing "Leaving this sauce behind" instead of "Leaving their distrust behind".

He used to say "WAI" a lot live. Makes for great changes.
"Why walk beside you, wherever you are?"

You know, I don't know if I've ever shared this. If I have, oh well. I hear this almost every time, in Blind Faith:

"I still put my shoes on
With or without you"
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

I never bet
My emotion
My person all restrung

I never lost
My devotion
But some will fake with fiiiire
...
I show you my hands
You don't see the scars
Maybe I'll lick meh hairy bum!
...
Give upon measure "E"
Turn your back on dissent
Leaving the sauce behind
Wash your hands of regret
...
My soul exposed
with coffee tonight and a whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaale
---
Behind the disguise
There's something Terry man-i-tude!
...
He fell into an emo way, she had to let him down, she said "I can't love a white woman!"
...
Sorrow, eternity
My day lungs are coming to drown me!
"I raised the baby, I changed the baby's diapers.  Whenever the baby had projectile diarrhea, I was there in the line of fire.  I even got a little in my mouth!  I sacrificed so much for my baby.  Now my baby hates me and thinks Mike Mangini is its real father!"

"They want to qualify their boys for jobs in the modern world. You can hardly blame them, can you?"
"Oh yes," said Scott-King. "I can and do." [...]
"If you approve, headmaster, I will stay as I am here as long as any boy wants to read the classics. I think it would be very wicked indeed to do anything to fit a boy for the modern world."

"Strike up your best X-Rated posture, whoaaaah! Lego sets are awesome! Lets not forget my lego set! What, my hairs a-filthy. Now I'm dating barry, yeah"

This is what I hear when listening to Just Let Me Breathe, I don't wanna look up the actual lyrics since I like the idea of Lego-obssesed Labrie

Jordan took Moore's boring, pedestrian parts and elevated them considerably to take them from barely palatable to stellar.
