ah thanks lolz
The creation and destruction of harmonic and 'statistical' tensions is essential to the maintenance of compositional drama. Any composition (or improvisation) which remains consonant and 'regular' throughout is, for me, equivalent to watching a movie with only 'good guys' in it, or eating cottage cheese.

It's not DT, but a funny one is in Enter Sandman.  I always heard it the correct way until someone told me how they misheard it, and now I can't hear it any other way:

"Tuck you in, warm within, keep your free throws in"

Seriously, give it a listen and you'll never hear it the same way again.

Generally, I find these to be the most unfunny threads imaginable.  However, although not DT, this is by far the funniest "misheard lyrics" video I've ever seen:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg5_mlQOsUQ

(I especially love the still of Robwebster's dad at 3:00)

I know perfectly well you have never seen my dad in your life, and yet I still gasped and immediately skipped to 3:00, completely expecting to see ol' pops. That is one hell of a jedi mind trick.

:lol  Sorry.  Just going off the only pics I've ever seen of you (the "knackered" one and the one in your avatar), I just thought, "hey, there's an English looking guy who sorta looks like Rob."

Oh, and...  *waives hand*  These aren't the lyrics you're looking for.  :bosky:

This would be funnier if "everything" wasn't clearly heard.

Still pretty damn funny though.

About half of that is actually pretty funny. The other half just bad and doesn't actually sound like it at all. A dentist? This rifle? It would be funny if sounded anything like it.

The Lo'real thing was funny though.

Favorite of all time is the Another Day misheard lyrics.  I laugh almost every time.

They took pictures of our dicks
Ran to hide behind the stars
And said maybe when it's right for you they'll fall

And if the dung comes out
It shits the death upon the man
Throw them away, better to save the mensturate
Then surrender tuna sea crap

WHALE!

"I can see much clearer now I'm blind" - Take The Time

No, I know they're not misheard, but for the longest time I thought that I DID mishear them. I just couldn't figure out this line. I always pictured someone going, "I can see much clearer!" And then suddenly, they go blind and say, "Now I'm blind!" Even now, the proper context of that phrase seems a little weird to me.
"How's that for a slice of fried gold?"

Too bad the legendary misheard lyrics video of Pull Me Under has been deleted, there was one part that always made me lol:

"I've shat a tractor, hit an octave
I am not a freeeaaak!"
 :lol

There are still some pretty awesome misheard lyrics vids on Youtube, though. I won't post any links 'cause I might break the rules but they're pretty easy to find.

A few I have misheard myself:

"I touched with Juan" (Afterlife)
"My puppies have caught up with me" (Metropolis)

'Ever deadly suicide'

I though it was the most ridiculous line of lyric ever until someone on these boards pointed out to me I had it wrong all the time. ALL THOSE YEARS.

Damnit, I didn't know that wasn't the real line!

Also, "A jedi watching from above" instead of "I set out watching from above" and "And I let you drain the strength" instead of "And I lay here drained of strength", both from Learning to Live.

A couple spring to mind for me.

Constant Motion:

Actual: Tunnel vision at blinding speed
Me: Ton of fish in a parking space

Forsaken:

Actual: Give yourself up to me
Me: Give your cellphone to me

Ha. My friend always thought it was 'television at blinding speed'.
