Thank you guys! I did this in late August / early September, but couldn't find a good enough occasion to post it. Now, it is all yours :)

Today while listening to This is the life:

Original:
"Feel the illusion you dream about"

Misheard:
"Feel the erection you dream about"

When listening to Killing Hand on WDaDR it sound like James is singing:

Sipping his poison the raven sings
SHIT! another to add more bodies fallen

as opposed to what is supposed to be:

Sipping his poison the raven sings
Yet another to add more bodies fallen

Although I would swear that it's NOT misheard.

I always heard it like that too, and was wondering if that was right or wrong, because I never listened to the original for comparison. But it was the Marquee version I noticed it on, not WDADRU, so it must just be a JLB thing. :lol

"Nervous flashlights scam my trees" (UAGM)

Also, this deserves to be posted again:
Burning My Soul...I'm convinced it's secretly about a subject endeavouring for sexual elightenment, possibly involving drugs. Slightly immature/disturbing language content warning.

"Porn in my sight, jiff on my shoulder, a lump in my throat, the size of a boulder
Chillin my spine, keep getting it colder, and you wonder why I can't smile...
A knob in my gut, napalm my back, in the heat of the moment, I locked out the track
Chewed on the ball, I pick up the slag, and you ass me while my hairs break"

1st Chorus:
"Twisting, turning, losing all sense of gurning
2nd:
"Twisting, turning, losing all cents off perming"
And to round out the choruses..
"Depression, pizza! Burning my soul"

Too many uncanny drug/sex references for it to be unnoticeable :P
I still keep hearing "depression pizza" in the chorus! :rollin

I guess Zydar is just often reminded of women softly whispering in his rear for some completely unknown reason..............

I could very well just be insane, but in the early part of Take the Time it sounds like LaBrie says "I've had my fair share of girlfriends" instead of "tough breaks."

Not exactly a misheard lyric, but I always felt like James says "sturvival" instead of "survival" in Under a Glass Moon.

It kind of does actually sound like that. Also, according to the ADTOE lyric booklet, the line in BITS says "May healing waters" but it sounds like JLB is saying "Make healing waters".

I hear it as "May killing waters" and sometimes I mishear "heal" as "kill" in This Dying Soul and The Glass Prison as well.

EDIT: I just misheard "link" as "lick" in Wait for Sleep! :lol

One that stands out for me most that I went for years without actually checking the lyric was in

Blind Faith

"I've painted my own Mona-Lisa.
Cheese sticks every day!
Now I'm spoiled beyond my wildest dreams."

EDIT: Oops, someone already posted this one.  I guess I should have read the whole thread first.  Glad I'm not the only one who hears this all the time though.

Whenever I listen to Take The Time, and the sample comes in, I always hear:

"Adesso che ho perso la vista, but you made the deal"
"How's that for a slice of fried gold?"

Why does everybody think it's "Adesso" while it's quite clear that the word is "Ora"? It's not like the two words sound similar!  :lol

Because it's written that way incorrectly in the music video.

That description reminds me how someone once commented that Finnish sounds like Japanese backwards! :lol

But yeah, it's not easy to notice things like that unless you can speak the language yourself.

The JLMB thread inspired me to listen to that song and I misheard one line in the second verse: "Make yourself an asshole name!"
