The Chevelle Thread
« on: September 04, 2011, 07:34:01 PM »
Are there any Chevelle fans here? They are one of my favorites. I thought about starting a Chevelle survivor if anyone would want to do that.

Anyways, I think Wonder What's Next is an amazing album.

Yeah I really liked them a few years ago. Saw them live too and they put on a really good show.

Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

One of the rare times a band seems to be able to recycle their sound with each album but somehow keeps it really catchy and memorable. They're another one of my go-to bands when I can't think of anything to listen to.

I listened to Vena Sera and Wonder What's Next last night. I think I like Vena Sera more.

I kind of fell from this band after Wonder What's Next. Not because they were bad, but i was getting into other stuff at the time trying to stretch my musical boundaries. I'll try to catch up with their later stuff. Vera Sera sounds like my first step.

Bump.

Anyone listen to the new single, "Face To The Floor"?

It's pretty good.

Didn't see this thread before.

I really like these guys.  I only have This Type of Thinking, Vena Sera and Sci-Fi Crimes, but they're one of those bands I keep meaning to complete my collection of.

I'm pretty excited for the new one, but I haven't heard the new song yet.

The bones of beasts and the bones of kings become dust in the wake of the hymn.
Mighty kingdoms rise, but they all will fall, no more than a breath on the wind.

That's exactly what I thought about the last two album titles, honestly, so it just seems like par for the course as far as that goes.  :tup

Yeah, I thought Sci-Fi Crimes was an idiotic title for them, but the album wound up being pretty damn good.

But I'm always excited to hear news from Chevelle.

Hats Off To The Bull BUMP!

I'm digging the new record so far. "The Meddler" is an awesome song. Don't know if it will top Sci-Fi Crimes or This Type Of Thinking, but it's pretty good. The usual catchy choruses abound. Anyone else pick it up yet?

I like this band alot. They're one of the few modern rock bands I can really sink my teeth into and enjoy. I heard Face to the Floor on the radio the other day and it kicked ass.

Cool, man. I think Face To The Floor is a good song, but it may be my least favorite from the new album.
