Alright folks, here we are. The end of my Top 50. This list was extremely fun to make and to do write ups for. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and there will be free pie and punch at the door on the way out. But in the meantime, let me reveal number 1.
This album is so unbelievably awesome that it shits bricks of pure badassery. This album is a combination of many of the things I love most in almost all music. Heavy, soft, sad, bizarre as fuck, a mix of electric and acoustic instruments, etc. It's all there. And this mystery album just so happens to be...
Wait for it...
Here it comes now......
Almost there...

System of a DownThat's right folks, System of a Down at number one. Now before you people who throw them off as shitty nu-metal, let me explain myself. First of all, I am very biased towards SoaD seeing how they are one of my all time favourite bands. But this album in particular sets itself apart from all other material the band has written, and anything else I've ever heard. This album is simply original as fuck, and completely genre-defying. Aside from some easy to pick out musical styles, I honestly have no fucking clue where this album came from. If you listen to SoaD's previous material, this album sounds almost nothing like it. Their first two albums were very hardcore influenced with a touch of the bizarre. But this album takes a completely different direction and runs on a 36 minute time limit of musical perfection. It's an album I must listen to all the way through, and often times several times in a row. The album is a work of art, and easily the high point of SoaD's entire career. From beginning to end, I have trouble tearing myself away for even a few seconds. This album owns all other albums, if you ask me. Perfect length, amazing musicianship and a good handful of whacky shit all thrown into a musical melting pot. So for all you naysayers, at least give this album a chance with an open mind. There are a lot of very interesting and cool ideas flowing throughout this album. And it's well put together. Mezmerize feels like an album produced by a band who really wanted to make a masterpiece. Something to live on for years to come. And this album succeeds to the nth power.
