They filmed a bunch of this movie 2 blocks away from me on my street.  I saw Will Smith out on the street one day when I was walking home with groceries this summer.  It was pretty cool.  He had the whole suit on and everything.  He was walking back to his trailer which was parked in a lot for the studio on my street.

I can't tell if Josh Brolin nailed Lee's voice that well or if they overdubbed like in Space Cowboys.

I thought we were done with these movies. Hollywood really needs to start coming up with new stuff. Too many sequels and remakes lately

Well... Except this one looks decent. It's not like they churned out in a year. From what I've read, the plot sounds like it has the potential to be the best of the three.

I'm actually excited to see this one. I did not like MIB II at all, but this looks like it has potential. I need to find the first film on Blu Ray to add to my collection

The original MIB was so much of my childhood...I can't even remember what happens in the second one. Saw it once, hated it. I'll give this at least a watch.

I only watched the second one because one of my classmates was in it, briefly. She's also in Beerfest, but it turned out I actually liked that movie.

Trailer looks cool. They've had a decade to make a good followup, so I have hope it will be good. I never saw the second one either, but from what I've heard, that's not a bad thing.

MIB II isn't that bad.  It is inferior to the original, as most sequels are, and thus it's cool to hate on it, but it introduced a few new twists regarding what we thought we knew about J and K, and overall was a big silly fun time, just like the original.

I'll give this a try. But I agree that Hollywood has cut out all this sequel/remake/reboot shit.

Edit: By the way, is it just me or has the year 1969 gotten really popular in movies and TV lately? I dunno, just a random thought I had. In all likelihood just me anyway.

I don't like the idea of time traveling, at least in regards to an MIB film. I am assuming that Zed won't be making an appearance. The company that employees me has a location in Salisbury CT, I work there in the summer. It also happens to be the next town over from where Rip Torn lives in. I saw him and talked to him literally on a daily basis. The guy is not doing well. He's been arrested a few times the last few years, and is an absolute mess. I'd be shocked if he was able to make an appearance.

Anyway... Chino, I don't see how you can knock a movie's premise just because you don't like the idea of time travel. I mean, really, who knows how they're going to handle it? Oh, and according to imdb, Rip Torn is in it. I don't see how that makes it or breaks it, though.

The first one was an integral part of my childhood and is still a very fun movie.
The second one was totally inferior to its predecessor, but still quite fun.  Doesn't deserve a lot of the hate.
This one has a lot of conflicting emotions for me.  Can it be close to the quality of the first movie?  It took a decade to make, they must have thought about how to make it perfect, so hopefully, yes.  But its a sequel, and most sequels are pretty bad.  Time travel can be such hit or miss...but there's an 8-year-old inside me who wants to blow up some goddamn aliens and no feelings of cautious optimism or apprehension are going to get in his way.

I only saw 2 once, at the movies, but I remember it being okay.

This one looks okay. I might go see it, which I can say about very few films these days.
