I'm stoked.  Obscure is a Paul Gilbert fan?  Awesome!!  That's one PG album I DON'T have yet.  I listened to that song and quite like it.  I will say that, being very familiar with PG's style, I don't know that I would've immediately picked that solo out as being PG.  Interesting.

I do need to say something.  All the songs were great.  Judging this was a hell of a lot more difficult than I imagined, it was like trying to decide which bacon was better, or which hot adventerous girl was better in bed, I just hated to put any at the bottom, but I had to.  Great job guys, you surpassed my all expectations, and this was only round one.   

Well played.  I was hoping to sneak some Frost* in at some point.  Which begs the question RJ, if a band is used once, are they off limits for the rest of the roulette?

Sure, why not.  It might beccome necessary in rounds two and three and six, and I don't want to limit you guys.  If a round does dictate a new band, I'll say so.

OK, Round Two.....

I have always felt that we here on the forums are different about music than others.  There is a passion that resides in us that makes music transcend a mere art form, makes it entwine with our souls at each listen.  We were not born with it, it was given to us.  We can all define a moment in our lives that a song broke through the barriers of normalcy and permanently rearranged our souls. 
 
I want you to go back to your childhood, briefly describe that moment to me, and then give me that song.  Don't worry about finding a new song or band for me to listen to.  I am playing voyeur in your past on this one, I want to feel that moment.  Within the hour, I will send all of you a PM describing mine so you can get an idea of what I'm looking for.  Your stories will not be shared with the rest of DTF.

This is the first of the personal submissions.  I will alternate between personal and just plain rock my world rounds.  I look forward to hearing your songs and getting to know you guys a bit more.  Deadline will be Monday, I want to give you time to be thorough.  Good luck!!!
