Yes. Please. More 'open' rounds. Themes are ok, but kinda frustrating to be confined. I've been waiting since Round 2 to send a specific song for Nick, but it hasn't fit into any of his "theme's". I've got a couple in mind for you too, but don't want to be hosed if they don't fit the topic du jour.

Oh, I don't mind them, I just mind the lack of 'no theme' rounds. If they were interspersed with open rounds, that'd be ok. I do my best work when I'm free to roam.

Careful of who you accuse of being "ridiculously specific". Opening track, closing track, something BAD. Those are pretty specific.

Tell you what guys, the next round is fairly open, the theme for round five is just plain fucked up, and I have been giggling to myself about it since I thought it up a week ago, then the last round, who knows, but probably open, and this has to be one of the worst sentences I have ever written but I'm too fucking lazy and pooped to go back and change it and you all love me anyways so it's cool.

I'd say they're not very specific at all, actually. I mean, ok it has to be the first or last track, but it can be any style from any band or artist. Essentially you can choose from every single album in your collection that I don't already know, which is very open.

Whereas Nick has had rounds like "Bands with 3 members" or "Bands with a black guy in", and to be honest most of the bands and artists I listen to I don't know the exact make-up of the band members. That's what I meant by "ridiculously specific".

Yeah, those were extremely narrow from Nick.

In the grand scheme of things, lets say albums have on average, 10 tracks. So, in asking for an opening or closing track, you're instantly eliminating 90% of ones library. That is also pretty limiting.

None the less, wih an open round coming from RJ, I know exactly what I'm sending.
