Dead Air Radio - "Signal To Noise Ratio"
« on: November 30, 2011, 12:15:27 PM »
Anyone heard of this band/this album?  I stumbled across it today on my iPod vaguely remembering having purchased it a couple of years ago from The Laser's Edge.

Samples here (warning:  It autoplays to turn down speakers at work)

Really good progressive music with a bit of a heavy-ish edge to it.  Very nice crisp production, cool progressions, definitely worth checking out.

Spun this today at the gym and really, really enjoyed it.  I guess I buy too much music, because I must have bought this, ripped it to my iPod, put the disc away and completely forgotten about it

I haven't heard of them, but their band name reminds me of Chroma Key's 1998 album, Dead Air for Radios.  I wonder if they were inspired by Kevin Moore.  I'll have to check them out.

You can listen to some of it on that web site I linked to above.  I think most fans of progressive rock/metal would like it, though the vocalist took a little getting used to.

I came in here to post the same thing.
