Btw, this is Gary Johnson, and I love him when he gets angry.

He believes in limited government though, I'm not sure how much you'd agree with him on that. :P

My sarcasm software isn't working, serious, or no?

From his wikipedia page: "Johnson holds fiscally conservative, socially liberal libertarian views,[64] and a philosophy of limited government.[65]"

I just mean I don't get why you think I don't agree with libertarians? I'm extremely libertarian when it comes down to my overall view of government. It just so happens I don't think the market is infallible, which separates me from many libertarians; and I don't think taxation is akin to your neighbor pointing a gun to your head and demanding money. So no, we're not in perfect agreement, but I don't find it surprising at all that Johnson and Paul were basically 2/3 for me.

Paul 93%
Johnson 76%
Perry 65%
Santorum 64%
Huntsman 60%
Romney 59%
Gingrich 57%
Obama 50%
Cain 50%
Bachmann 40%

No surprise to me. Ron Paul and his son are by far the politicians I respect the most.

Oh I am, but not in every aspect of one's life, and in there's a lot of ground of agreement with libertarians (drug war, foriegn empire, marriage, to think of a few). I guess I should be clear that this is libertarianism with a small l, like I'm a democrat, but not a Democrat, meaning I'm not very authoritarian.

Interesting how many people scored with Johnson ranked so near the top. Johnson was my number 1, and yet he gets left out of all the reindeer games. Typical. A cursory look at his website and his political views and I want to learn more and think I'll send him a check.  :metal

Questions like 'Should the US Constitution and Bill of Rights be amended or updated in any way?' are far too vague, since it doesn't specify how they think it should be changed if they do.
Also, with many of the candidates, they had no answer for the questions chosen, which can really skew the results.

I don't know why I'm making excuses, since my results were actually fairly accurate.

Obama 84%
Johnson 65%
Huntsman 50%

Well, but that would be a different question.
I'm assuming this question was geared at differentiating between die-heard Conservatives who view the Constitution as a kind of Bible, i.e. perfect in it current form, and not subject to change, and the people who say it can be changed if the need arises.

That's an interesting one right there.

Another thing I find particularly interesting is that a lot of the DTF liberals have Paul in their top 3, myself included I think.

I think this poll is a little silly and simplistic, but left leaning, anti-authoritarian types have a lot to agree about with Paul.

I guess it's a function of the lack of other Democratic candidates that Obama is on top for a lot of people here.

The quiz is pretty bad but, it's sort of close other than having Huntsman so far down my list.

Seems accurate enough with who I support, though I'm surprised to see Romney ending up so low.  He's generally a guy that I wouldn't mind being president nearly as much as Perry, Bachmann, and Santorum, who are all higher on my list.

I was surprised to hear the other day that the presidential debates are organized by a bi-partisan committee. That is, both the Dems and the GOP completely design this event. Probably shouldn't surprise anybody that it is so meaningless and shallow.

Seriously? Caused that's really fucked up if true; our two party system is fucked up enough without it wanting to be a single party system.
