This is true for me too, I got one coworker who keeps asking why DTF is always at the top of our most visited site on our computer. I can't really explain it to him, so I just assure him it's not porn.

I've slowed down. But I have bursts of "DTF ALL DAY ERRY DAY". Like my days off when there is no one fun to hang out with in the real world, or during the holiday season when I somehow end up secluding myself more and more for no specific reason.

Me too ... these days at least. I went through a period in 09/10 that I was hardly here at all, and hardly posted. Now, I find myself re-freshing and checking constantly - even when I know I should be working, or spending time with, ya know, real people ... like my family!

When I come home from work, I get into pajamas, crank up the music, and jump into the internet. DTF is my home page. When I check for new replies, I get that "It's christmas all over again!" feeling. This place is a lot of fun. The people make it fun. The mods help keep it fun. The conversations never end...

DTF feels like home.

I find that when I don't have anything else going on (which I guess is just a nicer way of saying "when I'm bored") I pull up DTF. If there aren't any new replies to threads I'm in, I check all new posts. Usually I can find a subject or two that I might have passed on before that I'll check out. If I still have time, I'll just start browsing General or General Music, again looking for subjects I passed on before. Eventually something will happen in real life, but man, DTF has kept me sane quite a few times.
