Thanks pals Like I said in the OP, I'm gonna let the first two days of this round go by before beginning to contact those that submitted nominations for this so as to avoid sending out PM's that aren't necessary but on either Monday or Tuesday I'll either PM you all, and anyone else who's kind enough to join us, and provide y'all with an already-typed body of text to simply copy/paste into a PM and then just have y'all send that out to ten people each or I'll edit the OP to include the body of text.

I'm thinking the most sensible way to make sure we get all of the 100 or so contributors contacted is to have those whom are sending the PM's do five at a time (since the forum's system wouldn't let me send more than 10 per hour) so they'll still have 5 PM's available for their own personal use during each of the hours that they're helping. The best way to do it in order to avoid accidentally spamming members inboxes with multiple PM's would probably be to post which five members you're PMing each time BEFORE you do it and then, once you've successfully sent the PM's, just go back to that post and edit in something like "Edit: successfully sent  " (you don't actually have to include the headbang emote  ) I'll post the entire list of whom we need to PM in the OP right around the time we need to start sending the PM's out.

They are pretty damn good judging from the only track of theirs I've ever heard, Blessed Be Thy Hate. I made a thread where everyone was able to nominate five bands of their choice back in August or September and let it run for about two weeks so everyone did get a fair chance but sorry you missed out. If I ever see you in real life, I'll buy you a Yoo-Hoo and a bag of Jack Link's beef jerky to make it up to you (black pepper and teriyaki are your only choices since I'm buying so just be grateful.)

Nah, I made the thread right here in General Music. Polls/Survivors may have been a more fiiting home for it but we probably would've had a significantly smaller turnout if I'd done it there. GMD is the second busiest subforum here with like 171K posts and General Discussion has 176K posts so there's only about a 3% difference between those two either way.

A few other factors were that this is where I made last year's tournament and we hed something like 115 people voting per round at one point and 96 voted in the final. P/S is so much more of a fringe subforum that I doubted we'd get anywhere close to that kind of response over there since some people, like myself in the past, won't go there for weeks at a time or seldom at all if there are no running survivors for bands they're into and knowledgable on.

The final factor was that I felt that it'd be nearly impossible for anyone who's remotely active on the forum to go two whole weeks without checking into GMD and also during that time it was on page 1 for a good 90% of the time.
