I've only just gotten into the last album, and it's damn solid stuff. Been listening to it a lot lately.
The new songs haven't grabbed me at this point, although they'd be fine album tracks.

Wait... you and Kade agree on something (musically)?

:wtf:

Part of the statistically anomalous overlap in the Venn diagram that is my musical tastes, and DTF. :lol
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I like the second one.  Although IMO Amanda is way too prominent.  Every chorus all you can really hear is her, Kiske definitely takes a back seat.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I don't think there are many currently popular AOR bands. It was all a long time ago.

Try the last couple of albums by Eclipse, HEAT, Leverage...

Digging Kingdom of Rock; you knew what you were going to get with this one.  Similar to the first one, very solid overall.

The Tony Martin tune is without question my favorite from the album and would probably be neck and neck with Russell's song from the first one.

kind of a weird question, but has anyone here transcribed Harem Scarem's "Jealousy" or maybe have access to any sheet music by chance?  I can find the tabs online, but what I'm really after are the chord names themselves (tabs are lacking in that department).  I'm getting a new digital piano (after several years of not having one at all) and that strikes me as a song I'd like to learn to play on it.

Tried for you Hath but I gave up guitar/transcribing not long after this album came out and , as you say , there doesn't seem to be simple sheet music about on the internet.  I don't have "the ear" any more to just wing it either.  There is a site I found that highlights the guitar tab music on a keyboard but it sounds pretty rough to me and not what you're really after..

Appreciate it. I can transcribe single notes pretty well, like bass lines, solos, and melodies, but when it comes to chords it's tough sledding. Mind sharing that site? It might at least give me a start at it.

The alternative is if anybody reads guitar tab well enough to quickly jot down the main chords then I could fill in the rest.

It's never been a strong point of mine. I've been able to lift riffs and fake parts over the years but I was one of those guys - the ones that just want to shred and not bother with that boring rhythm stuff  :lol

I don't have much of a musical memory either so I soon forget what I do pick up, and even worse, forget the riffs and melodies I come up with.

I'm good with basic chords, but Pete seems pretty smart and vast with his knowledge on chords and theory.  Some of their songs I've noticed a quite complex in terms of the rhythms.  Never tried to play anything by them though.

Haha, thanks bro.  Maybe I'll have a go if I get some free time.   :tup

Just reading your post properly again, I could probably give you some of the chords if there are tabs out there.  As Brent said though, surely there's a website where you can put in the tabs or something and it gives you the name of the chords.

Thinking about this makes me a bit sad..........15 years of playing/studying and a little while teaching and now 20 years later I can barely remember a thing  :-\

Anyway Hath........are you trying to figure out the actual chords Pete plays or the key that each section is in that could be strummed along.........if you know what I mean?  Even though the specific chord may not be played the old sheet music used to have the "chord"/key that each section was based on running along the top.

So the site I found was this -put your cursor over the little fretboard at the top and you can change the format  to keyboard.

https://www.911tabs.com/link/?8971795

Another idea that I remember recommending to a friend at one point is that there are websites that have reverse chord finders.  it may not technically be a "chord" but if you're good enough to read the tab and know what the notes are then on this website (as an example) there are various sections where it will look at the usual relationships within a chord (3rds, 5ths etc...) and name the chord and then also show you how to play it on a keyboard.

So for example the opening 3 noter in the song according to that transcription has the notes B,F,A which is  like a F inversion with the third and flat 5.

So go here............

 https://www.scales-chords.com/chordid.php

type B,F,A into the drop down menus and tick "only use these notes"

Once it gives you a chord (or something like it) you can click on the link to show it on a keyboard

Hope that helps a little - it's quite a useful website.

I'm sure I've heard of iPhone apps that do that - you put the notes and it tells you what chord.

so yeah, just the actual chords he's playing, G minor, B flat7, etc.  Of course, I noticed on one of the tabs that he was playing it detuned, so that might make it extra fun.
