I thought Coverdale sounded fine on the last album.

I'm partway through Tesla/Simplicity, and enjoying it.  Sure, Kieth's voice has lot a step, but it's still got that bluesy/raspy feel to it.  He doesn't sound terrible by any stretch.  Perhaps his sound is an acquired taste ... and fortunately I acquired it a long long time ago.  I got no issues with this disc at all.  Not sure I'll buy it, but I'll come back to it on Spotify.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Coverdale has always sounded fine in the studio. Better than fine, in fact. Most guys his age don't sound as good.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Nothing original but nice riff and decent song on Slash's newy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybJHEgk2FBw&feature=youtu.be

Unfortunately I'm finding my tolerance for Myles Kennedy's whiny voice is rapidly fading.

Meh.
I think Myles Kennedy was overdoing the vibrato on that one.

I like it. I've missed that sort of straight ahead rock song recently. Nice and punchy but could live without the breakdown. If the rest of the album is like that I'll be in.
I feel like plugging in and rockin' out so that's a good sign.

For those who like Michael Sweet/Stryper I'd suggest you have a listen to his new solo album "I'm Not Your Suicide."  It's a mix of soft, pop rock and hard rock - much of it not normally to my taste - but it's of high enough quality that I didn't have any temptation to hit Skip.  Not a classic by any means (or anything unique) but a real quality release all the same. Quite possibly his best solo disc....crystal clear production too.

Age Sten Nilsen's new band with Erik Martenssen. Sounds great from the 1.30 clip. Was gutted when Wigwam called it a day so happy "Glam" is back.

Sorry its a facebook link. I know some of you don't facebook.

Very cool   :metal  - he looks like a hybrid of (old) Blackie and Ace Frehley  ;D

I missed em the last time they were out and would definitely go based on that if they come back.  He seems to have given up on all the stuffing about with his fancy mike stands too .

I always thought WASP's image and songwriting was silly in their early years, but Blackie has one of the coolest voices in metal. Nobody else sounds like him.

I've never been crazy about live albums, either, but "Live in the Raw" was really well done, in my opinion.

Love early WASP. Lost touch abit after Crimson Idol as things went a bit bland. Last couple have been ok. That live album was a bit of a disappointment. It doesn't sound at all live especially  on sleeping in the fire where you can clearly hear the crowd noise loop. I know most live albums are anyhting but, but this one sounds faked.

I grew listening to WASP, the first album, the controversies etc.
So when I finally got to see them a few years back in Finland, I was gutted when me and my mates realized that not all of Blackie's lead vocals were live
he was quite obviously lip synching throughout the show.

Saw them a few times back in the day but the last would have been on the Electric Circus tour. Great fun. Enjoyed those clips, would be worth seeing certainly. You would think singing like Blackie does would have put more strain on his voice and ruined it by now. He does look like he goes to the same gym as me
Crimson Idol made my top 50.

Haven't listened to WoA for some time. Spun up In Progress in the car today, I can confirm it's still an amazing melodic rock album.

Live in the Raw is anything but live.

Yeah, he's a little dodgy at some points, but it's not a lot, to me it was just some extra backing at some points.  Those new clips above seem totally legit though.

Haven't listened to WoA for some time. Spun up In Progress in the car today, I can confirm it's still an amazing melodic rock album.

I am listening to that at the moment in the car too, amazing album, really looking forward to the next one.

Yea i'm excited. Heard the album is done and they're mastering it at the moment. I'm not sure they have a release date yet but it should not be to far away.

Blackie's voice is awesome. You can thank WASP for coaxing Alice Cooper back.
